Here is a rich and hearty tomato sauce which does not need sugar or butter to cut the acidity from the tomato. Olive oil is optional for those watching their waistlines.

Tomatoes, parsley, garlic and oregano go for a spin in your food processor before simmering with sauteed onion and a goodly dash of white wine. The consistency is smooth and the taste is pleasing indeed.

A quick and tasty spaghetti sauce. I make it for my family all the time, and they love it. Spoon sauce generously over spaghetti noodles. Best served with generous portions of garlic toast.

I use this recipe for marinara sauce as a base for all my pasta dishes. You can use the sauce 'as is' for a meatless spaghetti sauce. Or you can add just about any meat or seafood to add variety to your meals. In addition, you can add kidney beans and your favorite ingredients to make a super chili. My kids eat this pasta sauce like no other. They are happy campers when the house is filled with the aroma as this sauce is cooking.

This sauce came from a good friend's Italian Mother-in-law. It is easy, and by far the best homemade sauce I know of. Great for both Spaghetti and Lasagna. Pssst...the secret is the sugar! Also, as I am now vegetarian, it tastes great with out the meat! Just substitute two tablespoons olive oil for the beef.

Ground beef is simmered with tomatoes, basil, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and a package of onion soup mix to add a delicious savor to the sauce. Serve over your favorite pasta and dust with a grating of Parmesan.
