Shhh... don't tell my Grandma... but this soup is better than hers. I did have to change it a bit because I didn't have all the ingredients. I used 1L of chicken broth and about 6 cups of water and a heaping TBS of the broth granules. I also omitted the carrots and put in 1 1/2 cups of cooked basmati rice instead of noodles. Oh, and I cooked cut up chicken breast with the onion and celery at the begining. It was delicious! And I'm having trouble not eating the whole pot before my hubby gets home from work.

This was easy and super tasty! It will be a fall and winter favorite. I used a roasted chicken from the grocery store as another reviewer suggested and I thought that it gave the soup a terrific flavor (and made the prep time even faster). I also used half broth/half chicken stock. Thanks!

I love this recipe but I change it up a little. I've found out that it is much quicker if you get one of the chickens at the grocery store that is already cooked, and shred it. I'm from New Mexico so I like it spicy so I add a plastic container of green chile. Its simple and tasty!!

Very good and very quick to make--used half leftover turkey pan drippings and chicken broth. Turned out great.
