Served it at my sisters bachelorette party and had everyone asking me for the recipe.

Deliciously decadent! My whole family loved this! I added half a head of cauliflower, steamed and pureed with a 1/2 C of milk. I also only used 2 T butter and 1/2 C whole wheat panko bread crumbs. It reaheated well the next day and was just as yummy!

This recipe has a decent flavor but there are way too many bread crumbs for me. Try omitting the bread crumbs or sprinkling just a little on before baking.

I followed the directions exactly. I prefer my mac and cheese creamy and this wasn't even close to creamy. It tasted like the kind of mac and cheese you get at a buffet at some cheap place. For all the cheese in it, it was lacking flavor.

I loved this recipe! I did make some changes. I fried 1/4 cup finely chopped onion in 2 tsp garlic butter and I added ~1/2 tsp cayenne pepper to the cheese. I added 1/2 cup of half and half as well. I also sliced 2 tomatoes and placed them on top of the butter and breadcrumb mixture. Then with about 5 minutes left, I topped everything with some parm. cheese and when it was done baking, I broiled it until it browned. Such a warm and hearty dinner. Thanks very much for the recipe!

Different mac and cheese than I normally make. I took the suggestions of others and reduced the bread crumbs. I am glad I did, all in all, may make again with no bread crumbs and just add cheese as the topping.

Not what I expected. Followed the recipe exactly except for a tiny bit of mustard powder. We all thought that the cottage cheese and sour cream were interesting. Reminds me of a buffet mac and cheese--sorry, everyone who had it thought it was "meh" in taste.

Absolutely divine!!! Even better topped with stewed tomatoes!! This one is definitely going in the recipe box!! Only thing i did differently was added 1/4c. milk to the mixture before putting it in the oven. It was far too thick without doing so. But taste wise... the best!!!

Yummy! My 5 year old loved this recipe and asked for me to make it again! I would not use all the breadcrumbs like other users said and use low fat cottage cheese and sour cream w/ whole wheat pasta makes it a tiny little bit more healthy! I'll be making this my permanet mac and cheese recipe

Tastes great...like Boston Market or Cracker Barrell Mac n Cheese! Used low fat sour cream and cottage cheese and reduce bread crumbs in half.

This was absolutely the best Mac & Cheese dish I have ever tasted. I followed the recipe pretty close but made some minor changes. I added a 1/4 cup more each of Cottage Cheese and Sour Cream. Topped with more cheddar and substituted bread crumbs with crushed Ritz crackers. WOW that was tasty!!!

This has become an almost weekly recipe in our house. I throw in some ham or kielbasa and some veggies for an easy one-dish meal. The original way to make this is very good, but I have found we all enjoy it more when I use an Italian blend bag of cheese instead of what the recipe suggests. Extremely delicious!

Not a bad recipe...I'm not a fan of how the cottage cheese doesn't fully integrate and thus leaves little white pieces throughout. When reheating, be sure to add a little milk. The taste was good, I'm just more of a fan of mac and cheese that's more creamy than dry.

I had high hopes, but my family didn't like this at all. Too many bread crumbs, too dry, bland flavor.

It's MY favorite too! It's soo good, I have to double the recipe to feed 6. Moist and flavorful. The only thing I add is a little onion powder and garlic powder. Give it a try!

It was fairly good. But next time I will add some milk to make it creamier and use corn flake crumbs. I really did not like the bread crumbs at all.

Made this last night as a pre-Thanksgiving test. It was pretty good! In fact, I'm having leftovers for lunch. I did add about 1/2 cup of half and half per other reviews and I used garlic & herb breadcrumbs because that's all I had on hand. For Thanksgiving, I'll probably add some Velveeta and swap the breadcrumb topping for a cornflake topping for more crunch - the breadcrumbs came off as more gritty than crunchy to me.
