Quick and Easy! My wife loves it. I halved it, mixed in a cup of milk and replaced the bread crumbs with crushed corn flakes. Move it up a rack for the last ten minutes to add more color to the topping. Things you can add: ham, peas, onion or tomato sauce. Don't tell my wife but I did add a little more cheese then it called for.

This was a tasty recipe that was very easy to make "healthier." I used fat-free cottage cheese and sour cream and low-fat shredded cheddar cheese. It wasn't the "best-ever" mac & cheese I've had, but I will definitely make again because of it's low calories. I may add some ground mustard seasoning to add some additional flavor as I have seen in other recipes. Thanks for the easy, tasty, healthy dish! My family liked this too!

Try adding a tad bit more milk and VELVETTA cheese to get that creamier texture. Great and yummy recipe!

Everyone LOVES this Mac and Cheese. So good, but soooo bad. Use light sour cream.

my husband and i are huge mac and cheese fans. we loved the cheese mixture. but we did not like the bread crumbs. i covered the dish with the bread crumbs and still had more left over. so i dumbed all of them on top.. bad idea. i should of used 1/2 or even a 1/4 cup. i tried to brush most of them off after baking with no luck.. maybe next time, i will top it with more cheese??

This recipe turned out great and my boyfriend loved it! A few suggestions: -Definitely add some milk -- about 3/4 cup -Perhaps sub a bit of milk for sour cream and add a bit more cheddar -- I found the taste of the sour cream slightly overpowering, but it does make this dish very creamy -add some bacon!!

This was very good.....not sure... I also had a hard time with the bread crumbs....came out too soggy instead of a crunch. That's why only 4 stars. Great to keep in fridge for my husband to eat late at night!

Perfect, after I made these changes; I added about 3/4 cup milk, and I used 3/4 cup bread crumbs. I didn't have as much cottage cheese as the recipe called for,but it was still great!

This was delicious! I ended up doubling the recipe because of how much macaroni I had on hand. I searved it to my inlaws for some confort food and they loved it! I even froze the extra and we had it last week. My only complaint is that I wish I had followed other's advice and used less bread crumbs.

We loved this recipe! The only thing that I did differently, was I made a double recipe and doubled everything except for the sour cream & cottage cheese - I used the original amount - and I added about a 1/4 cup of milk. It came out great!

The recipe was absolutely awesome!!! I read a lot of the reviews before deciding to make it, and I was NOT disappointed. I did double the cheese and didn't use the bread crumbs because I don't care for them, and added milk as many reviews suggested. This will be my Mac n cheese recipe for LIFE. Thanks Chuck for posting. I can't wait to make it again at Thanksgiving!

Awesome mac and cheese recipe! We all loved it! Leftover were so good as well. Defiantly will be the only way I make mac and cheese from now on. I didn't put the bread crumbs on top only because I didn't have any and I didn't feel like making any. But it was still just as good without them.

I've been making something similar for years, but with the addition of fried, crumbled bacon and sauteed, diced onions. They really kick up the flavour and you'll never want it plain again!

loved it and was a hit at the tailgate. i like to kick it up a notch, and suggest mixing in some cayenne pepper. regular pepper works too for the mild crew.
