Dads' Gather Around Christmas Punch

This is a great crowd pleaser punch. 'Retro' to youngsters but a staple at every Christmas party in my family since the early '60's. The 'Dad's' gather around the punch bowl and 'taste-test' the first batch before anyone else is allowed to partake.

A blend of juices gives this punch a little pizzazz. For a more tart flavor, substitute cranberry juice for the cran-apple juice. --Edna Hoffman, Hebron, Indiana

I was given this recipe when touring a home in our community that was presented in full period costume and celebration for the Christmas holiday. In 1821 a German settler brought to the area the first tree for decorating, presented the traditional Yule Log ceremony and offered Wassail Punch.
