I used 6 eggs like the others, also put tomatoes on top because I'm a tomato freak. Very delicious, my guests gobbled it up!

I've been making this recipe for years. My family loves it. I added leftover home fries to the casserole this time and topped with salsa. Yummy!

Tasty and easy! It was so nice to have a great breakfast ready to go on Christmas morning. We used 6 eggs because of the other reviews. My mother tried it another time but added the maple flavor sausage that others suggested. She didn't like that one as much. I think this will be a tradition! Thanks for sharing.

Made this as stated, but to me it tasted doughy. I think my preference is using potatoes instead of toast in my breakfast casserole.

Definately use the white bread instead of wheat--we usually don't keep white on hand so I have used both in this recipe. I don't know why but the wheat seems to dry the casserole out more. Try this casserole--you won't be disappointed.

I followed this recipe exactly and it turned out GREAT. Made it for Christmas morning and my family loved it - every bit was gone! I used Sage sausage because it was what I had, next time will use Maple because that sounds wonderful! Thank you for this one!

I made two casseroles using this recipe! The first one I halved the for my girls. The second one, I also halved and used egg substitute (first time ever). The girls came out better looking but both tasted good! I was surprised that my girls liked it so much!!

We enjoy this casserole every Christmas and some special mornings throughout the year. The only change I make is to add more eggs btwn 6-8. Just remember to add the same amount of toasted bread slices and the ratio is perfect. I also used maple sausage for this past holiday and my family really loved it.

We have made this recipe for the past two Christmas morning breakfasts. Make the night before & pop in the oven the next morning. Consistently excellent tasting, can experiment with flavored sausage or hot sauce. This is a family favorite!

This was so good! My mom used to make this type of breakfast casserole for Christmas but she used toast, which always came out soggy. Eventually, she gave up perfecting it the toast and started using shredded hash browns. The crescent rolls in this dish were not soggy at all! They were perfect and added an unexpected taste to the typical breakfast casserole which my fiancé and I both loved. I recommended this one to mom who’s excited to give it a try!

Made this for Christmas morning and got pretty good reviews. I used sage sausage and the family thought that the sage flavor was a bit overpowering. Next time I will use regular sausage or the Maple flavored that so many other reviewers recommended. I increased the eggs to 6 and used half and half instead of the milk and then only used 1 cup. I sauteed an onion in with the sausage. The dish was very easy to put together and cook up beautifully. Will be making this again but will make above mentioned changes and perhaps add the cayenne and red and green peppers for more flavor. We all agreed that salsa would have been a nice addition to have on the side with it.

I loved how convenient this recipe was for Christmas morning! I added green onions and a dash of cayenne to the eggs, and I used 6 eggs instead of 4. It was a little drier than I had anticipated, but I think I used too big of a pan (9x13) so it was too thin. Next time I will double the recipe. I will definitely make this again, very tasty! Thanks so much!

This is yummy! I added two more eggs as I only had large size eggs in the fridge. Did everything else as the recipe states. It didn't take the full time to cook. Definitely a keeper!!

This was so good. I made it for Christmas morning and the whole family decided that it would be our new tradition. I read the reviews and also added one more egg and sauteed onion and red bell pepper. The dried thyme was also a good suggestion. LOVED IT!

I made this for Christmas brunch, we had a house full. By the time I was able to eat it was GONE! While I personally wasn't able to try it, my family said that it was great. It was also VERY easy to prepare. I made it exactly to the directions. Thanks!!
