I made this today as a test run before Christmas. WOW!! My husband and I loved it. Here were my changes, based on other reviews. I used 2 tsp mustard powder, 6 eggs, fat free half and half, texas toast, Jimmy Dean maple sausage, and an 8x11 pan. We also had a little for lunch, so it saves and reheats well. For cheese, I used a Sargento cheddar blend with bacon, so bacon was a nice addition. I do believe I found a new Christmas tradition! Thanks for posting this!
--------------------------------------UPDATE: I made this Christmas morning and it was indeed a smash hit with the rest of the family. I didn't use texas toast the second time and preferred it much better, as texas toast is larger and soaks up too much of the sauce making it drier. I also used 6 eggs, regular breakfast sausage, regular shredded cheddar, yellow mustard from the bottle, and hash browns mixed in for texture. By the time the presents were unwrapped and we cleaned up, breakfast was served! You wont' be disappointed if you try this.
