Couldn't have been easier for Christmas morning! Hubby and I loved it! Not a kid friendly dish in my house though! Didn't impress them, but they like their waffles in the morning!

I made this recipe for Christmas breakfast. I assembled it the day before and popped it in the oven Christmas morning. I substituted Texas Toast for the white toast. I baked it according to the box directions first. I also doubled the eggs and used turkey sausage patties, chopped. It was a big hit, and very easy to make!

Unbelievable. Easy to make and was delicious. Made it Christmas Eve night, popped it in the oven and 1.5 hours later it was ready.

I made this for the first time on Christmas Eve. I used Egg beaters, turkey sausage and lite wheat bread. Woke up on Christmas morning and baked it for 45 minutes. It was absolutely delicious and my family all asked if we could have this every year! Thank you so much for sharing a great recipe!!

Very good. Used maple sausage and cooked it with 1/2 cup chopped onion. 6 eggs. Also added 1/4 chopped parsley for color. Even better warmed up as leftovers.

My family loved this on Christmas morning. I did use egg beaters though instead of regular eggs. Also my husband asked if the next time I make it if I will put onions in it.

The base recipe is a good one. I wanted to make a casserole but didn't have any meat on hand, so I made it without and it was still delicious. I can only imagine how tasty it is with the sausage or other meat!

What a fabulous breakfast casserole! I made it for our Christmas morning breakfast, and the flavor and texture were superb. I did sautee some chopped red and green bellpeppers with the sausage (for Christmas colors), but not very many, as I didn't want to alter your recipe. Our whole family, three young children included, enjoyed it very much.

We just finished opening our Christmas gifts and eating this tasty casserole--I did take the suggestions of many fellow reviewers to make it perfect: layered in a smaller (8x10) pan, 6 eggs and 1 1/2 cups milk. All else stayed exactly the same, including cooking times. Very good and perfectly timed to bake while we opened presents--we won't just save this for the holidays, though!

This was great for the busy Christmas morning! I modified it by using vegetarian sausage, adding a few splashes of egg nog, and some leftover challah bread along with white bread. I didn't measure the milk and just eyed it for texture as well as adding 2 more eggs. This recipe was a great idea and the whole family loved it!

Delicious! Even my kids love it! I forgot this was supposed to refrigerate overnight but decided to try it anyway. After reading numerous reviews, I used 6 eggs. I did not have mustard powder so used 2 tsp of yellow mustard. I put the browned sausage in the dish first, then the toasted white bread (torn, crusts left on), then poured the egg/cheese mixture over the top. I baked it covered for 30 minutes and uncovered for 15 min. and it came out perfectly! I used a 13X9 Pyrex dish, which I forgot to grease, and there was only minimal sticking. I will be making this again!

We LOVE this recipe and have been using it faithfully every Christmas morning for the last 4 or 5 years. It's part of our traditions now! To make this our own, we use Challah bread and play around with different sausage flavors. This year, we are using butter croisants for the bread.

I used wheat bread, because that is all I had- I wouldn't do that again :o) Other than that, the taste is great! I used maple sausage, doubled the eggs, and skipped the mustard because I didn't have any on hand.

This recipe was so disappointing. I thought with almost 500 good reviews I couldn't go wrong, but both my husband and I (as well as several ladies from our church) thought this recipe was bland. Sorry!

I've made this for years now and everyone loves it. I use Pillsbury crescent rolls to line the bottom and sides and it comes out nice and fluffy. I also use Christmas tree shaped baking pans for a beautiful presentation!
