Very good Very easy. I cut down on the vinger a little as we don't like things to tart and I used olive oil.

I made this with three tomatoes fresh off the vine. That's all we had ripe, so I halved all of the ingredients. It's hard to believe a recipe so simple could be so delicious, but it's absolutely worth every star! Thanks for a super recipe!

I loooved this recipe and don't even like tomatoes that much!!!! My boyfriend loved it too. I used half the sugar it called for, and still found it a bit 2 sweet, so next time i will prob use 1/8 c. sugar. I prob could have used 1/4 c. vinegar and 1/4 c. veg oil because there was a LOT of juice at the bottom of the bowl between the juices from the tomatoes and everything else.

This was so simple and good. I made it in a pinch for time to go along with some sandwhiches and I was very pleased (along with my guests)

I made this today and it was delicious. Although I only used half the oil (I tasted the dressing after mixing it and it tasted too oily to me so I doubled the vinegar and sugar. The ingredients reminded me of German Potato salad which I absolutely love so I added a pinch of celery seed and 2 slices of bacon which I cooked til crisp, drained and crumbled. I'm not sure how much the celery seed changed the taste of the recipe but I think the bacon made the recipe that much better.

This was a hit at the dinner table. My parents had an excess of tomatoes (and were getting a bit sick of just eating them raw). This recipe allowed them to keep the healthiness of a raw tomato but make it more exciting! My "small" onion wasn't as small as it could have been, though. Next time I'll use either milder onion or half of one. But so, so good!

I used minced garlic and olive oil instead of the vegetable oil. Otherwise it is a great recipe with the purple onions too.

Excellent! I use Splenda instead of sugar and a bit less oil than called for to cut the calories. What a perfect summer salad. Hubby loves!

This recipe was liked or loved by all, even though I just realized that I completely forgot about the onion! I added some finely chopped flat leaf parsley to the top to make it even prettier. Next time I will include the onion. Thanks!

This recipe was good, but there was WAY too much of the "juice" for me. It was pretty sweet. It's good, and definitely a quick side dish.

Very good. I took it to a family get together and everyone loved it. Celery is a good addition. Leftovers keep for several days and even get better!

I love tomatoes and I love onions soi this recipe sparked my interest. I was surprised at how lightly sweet the recipe was. No single flavor overwhelmed the other. I make this on a regular basis now and the only thing I have changed is that I halved the the vinegar, sugar and oil. This has enough juice to coat the tomatoes and onion so we get all the flavor without added calories/fat. My husband, who does not like tomatoes standing out in a recipe, really enjoyed this recipe. My 16 year old, on the other hand loves tomatoes (like her mother) but HATES onions, unless their chopped tiny and cooked into the food. She may not have loved this recipe as much as I or her dad but she liked it and that is a huge ordeal for me. I was shocked.

This was quite good. I did cut the sugar by about a quarter. Sweet but not too sweet. So simple and easy to make! Thanks for the recipe. Next time I will half the oil. A little too oily for us but still good flavor.

this was good, a very nice simple recipe for the abundance of tomatoes in our garden. Next time I will add some fresh oregano and more black pepper. I would recommend only using fresh garden tomatoes as i can see the recipe being compromised with lesser quality "winter grocery store" tomatoes
