Tasty and easy. My chops were a little on the thick side, so I had to cook this longer than the stated time. I served it with rosemary roasted potatoes.

i tweaked this based on what i had going on for dinner. i used 6 thin pork chops and i doubled the soup to make sure there was enough gravy. i dusted the chops with cornmeal before i browned them. i have to do this any time i pan fry pork chops it makes a nice thin brown crust on them. i didnt have alot of milk so i used evaporated milk and i also used butter flavor non stick spray instead of the butter. luckily i sliced off a small piece of the chop to taste it before i added the soup. it was.. bland. i dont think omitting the butter would have made a huge difference in the flavor but i shook some garlic, rosemary, mrs dash and lots of black pepper on the chops, let them brown a little more and then added the soup. it made a big difference adding the seasoning. i also added some fresh mushrooms i had to use up and i simmered a little longer than 20 minutes. this is a great base recipe for smothered pork chops but it needs some tweaks.

I have made this for years... only I use about 1/4 C milk and add about 1/4 C cooking sherry and some Italian seasoning blend for a bit of extra flavor. The chops are always tender & moist... it can't be any easier! Works just as well in a slow cooker.

Just like mom used to make. I made it with lamb chops and added fresh mushrooms. I didn't have any milk so I used water instead. It turned out great.

Loved this! So simple and delicious! Have to make mashed potatoes for that yummy gravy. I didn't have the problem of another review with my butter separating in the gravy, as my butter had pretty much been used up in browning the chops and sauteing the onions. I removed the chops when I added the soup and milk and was able to scrape up all those brown bits from the pan - the gravy became a wonderful color and just the right consistency too. Then I returned the chops to simmer. Added a little garlic powder along with the salt and pepper. I'll definitely be making this again. Thanks!

I forgot to put the pork loins in the crockpot this morning and found this recipe so tried it. We all loved it! We had a friend's son visiting who often doesn't like meat but he, too, loved it. Easy to double.... Thanks for sharing this! I will keep this in my "easy but delicious" file.
