This is easy and delicious. I have made it a few times now for guests and potlucks, and in both situations, I have gotten rave reviews! It is very versatile...as others have mentioned, you can change the cake flavor or even go with brownies. The fruit can be changed up, too, to suit your tastes. You really can't mess this up and there are so many possiblities! But as for the actual recipe itself, I think it is really good just as it is written!

I really liked this one. It looked so pretty when it was done and I got rave reviews when I took it to a party. By the time I was ready to leave all of it had been eaten.

I've made this twice and both times it was a hit (even though the second time I was beating the pudding and it wasn't thickening before I realized it wasn't instant but the cooked kind). Still used it because I was didn't have time to change it - it didn't look as pretty, but it tasted great. I used strawberries, blueberries and fresh picked raspberries - I looked so pretty. I didn't add the orange juice, but thought it tasted great anyways. The custard like layer is awesome. I may try drizzling chocolate liqueur over the cake next time (when I'm not serving it to kids!)

FAN-FLIPPIN-TASTIC! My aunt made me this for my bridal shower and it was a hit! I then took it to a potluck at work and it was a hit there too! I had several people request the recipe. It's a nice alternative to people that like cake but don't like frosting

I did make some alterations, but it still came out really great! I didn't use raspberries because they're just too expensive. I used a brownie mix because I already had one in the cabinet. I just followed the instructions for cake-like brownies. I used white chocolate pudding because that's what I had and I thought it sounded delicious with the brownies and fruit...and it was! I used a whole 16 oz carton of heavy whipping cream and had plenty of cream mixture...unless you want to add some to the top, then I didn't have enough. I also cut the orange juice because we don't drink it, and I didn't want to buy some just for this. Overall, it was delicious, and I still had people ask for the recipe. I think the white chocolate over the french vanilla was a good choice!

I made this in parfait glasses with blackberries, raspberries, and bananas. And I had a box of devil's food cupcake mix so I used that for the cake. When the cupcakes were done, I crumbled the moist bottoms for the cake layers. The tops were perfect as "lids" on top the glasses. Everything made 12 parfaits with no leftovers. Excellent, although my daughter didn't like the bananas.

Mmmmm, decadently rich and creamy. I made this with brownies rather than cake, limited the fruit to just raspberries, and drizzled the brownie cubes with Chambord (black raspberry liqueur) rather than the orange juice. I had more than enough to reserve some to make a couple of little "Chocolate Berry Shots" for hubby and me. So cute!

So Good!!! I had extra devils food cake left over from a huge birthday cake that I made....all the extra pieces I had carved off before icing. Hated to waste all that cake so I came here to find a recipe. I had never made a trifle before. Very easy to make. I didn't use the kiwi, just strawberries & raspberries. Guests LOVED it and took some home....which was great b/c this recipe makes a TON! The pudding/whipped cream filling is delicious, I added a teaspoon of vanilla flavoring to mine and used cheesecake flavored pudding. Make extra filling for sure, I didn't have enough and I should have taken the advice of other reviewers to make extra. Great recipe, I will be using this again and again...especially for potlucks or family dinners.

This was an excellent dessert dish. I used blueberries, strawberries, and kiwis for the fruit. The only change I made was one i stole from a chocolate trifle recipie, and that was I reduced the water by 1/4 cup and instead added 1/4 cup of Bailey's Irish Cream Liquor to the mix. It gives it a very nice tasting essence that brings out the flavor.

I used another reviewer's suggestion and changed the kiwis to blackberries- it was great! The only downside to this recipe is that the filling is very rich. Next time I think I'll use less condensed milk (maybe 1/2 can instead of 1 can) and more of the whipped cream to tone it down.

I love this recipe. I've even had someone tell me it was the best part of a 80th Birthday Party. I change the fruit depending on what's in season. I really don't think you can go wrong.

I love this trifle. I especially love the cream filling because it's so much better than just using yogurt or pudding. I will continue to make this for a long, long time.

For Now I'll give it 4 stars. I definitly will make it again, however with a few changes, instead of kwki, I'll replace it with Blueberries and blackberries. Which I think could kick it up to a 5 star trifle. Tip: Use more whip than the recipe calls for, you will run out. At least I did.
