Awesome recipe, great for the end of summer zucchinis from the garden! I gave a loaf to two friends and both raved about it and asked for the recipe! I used mini-chips, and DO be sure to grease loaf pans well! Yum Yum.

So very good! I am going to cut back the sugar on the next loaves I make but other than that the recipe was perfect!

Can I give it six stars? Honestly, it's a good thing my wife doesn't like chocolate breads because I've eaten both loaves myself. Wow I think this has to be one of the best recipes I've gotten form allrecipes.

I rated it a 5 for taste because it is orgasmic!!! BUT I have had trouble getting it out of the well-greased baking pans(This is maddening). The first time I made it I used Pam Baking Spray and had no trouble but have made the recipe twice since then and was especially careful about the greasing (I was out of Pam Baking Spray-with theflour) and still had trouble. I will never make it again without Pam. It did occur to me though that I could try using some of the flour from the recipe to coat the chocolate chips so they don't sink to the bottom . The chips caused the sticking problem I think.

Delicious. Very moist. Just make sure you REALLY grease the pans, mine stuck the first time even after following another persons advice.

I found this receipe to be just perfect as is! Very, very good. My ever so choosy son who eats no veggies loves this. It's a great way to sneak some veggies to the kids and they'll never know!

These were fantastic. My kids gobbled them up in no time and I felt a little better with them having them because of the zucchini. I did use 3 cups of zucchini and added 1/2 applesauce and 1/2 oil. Simply delicious - you must try!

This was absolutely delicious. I am lowering my cholesterol by adding ground flaxseed to my diet and this recipe was a good one to experiment on. I substituted 2 of the 3 eggs by putting 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed in a small bowl and adding 6 tablespoons of warm water, setting this aside for about 10 minutes . It has the gel consistency of egg whites when it is ready. I added this along with the last egg in the recipe and the bread turned out great. I also cut the oil by 2/3 by using that much in applesauce. Even though I only used 1/3 of the oil and one actual egg... this was a pretty tasty zucchini bread, moist and chocolaty, I will make this again!! :)

I just made this recipe, and it is very, very good. The only changes I made were these: I grated one rather large zucchini and didn't bother to measure it (it may have been 3 cups, who knows); I used a small container of applesauce (lunchbox size) and added oil to make 1 cup. The batter was far more runny than some quickbreads I've made, but I didn't let that bother me. I made 5 mini loaves and 1/2 pan of mini muffins, they took only 16 minutes on convection /bake and they were done. I also used PAM baking spray (the kind with flour in it) and nothing at all stuck.

I improvised quite a bit on this recipe and it turned out...okay. Some fault, I think, to me and some to the recipe. I doubled the recipe, making two breads and a dozen muffins. I took the muffins out halfway through baking time and they were burnt on the bottom, but the breads came out mostly okay, though just *slightly* overdone on the edges. Bearing in mind that I doubled the recipe, I used a total of: 3 oz. unsweetened chocolate, just over half the sugar (maybe 1.25 cups), part zucchini and part carrot, 1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 white flour, added two over-ripe bananas, and the rest was the same. They are much less cake-like than other reviews said, probably due to less chocolate and sugar. I don't like oily muffins/breads and these kind of came out that way (I really need to keep some unsweetened applesauce on hand for substituting). If I do it again, I will substitute applesauce for oil, use all the chocolate, and close to if not all the sugar.

I am allergic to chocolate, so I very rarely eat anything that features it as the main ingredient. This cake is so fabulous that I'll suffer the swollen lips and itchy throat just to enjoy a small slice.

My husband made this and followed the recipe, but used mini chocolate chips. He also cooked it in a bundt pan. This is absolutely fantastic!!! I might replace some of the oil with applesauce next time, though.

I needed to do something with the extra zuchinni from the garden and what better way then dessert. OMG!!!! Amazing. I made them as muffins since so many members stated that the bread stuck to the pan. They turned out sssooooo good. I can't wait for my family to try them. Their going to love them. Thanks for the great recipe.

I made this for some college friends that came over this past weekend. It was fantastic! Like a lot of other people said, more like a cake than bread...which I had no problem with! I cut the recipe in half and greased and floured the loaf pan so I didn't have any problems with it sticking. I coated the chocolate chips in flour before mixing them in the batter and made a glaze with confectioners sugar and milk that I drizzled on top for a sweet finish. Delicious!
