OOOOOOOMYYYYGOOOOOOD. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've made this over and over and over. It is simply the best and so very very easy. I almost always have every thing I need right in my pantry. Wonderful. Yum. I've now got 10 extra pounds that says this recipe is the best!

Very good! A little too acidic, not quite rich and chocolaty enough, if you get the idea. I think the cocoa just made it less "deep" flavored. Next time I'd add coffee, and maybe more vanilla. Or use brown sugar instead of white in the batter as well. I love the thick sauce that forms at the bottom-- makes this dessert idea to be served with ice cream (though take my advice and avoid the non-sugar/non-fat ice creams-- they just aren't the same).

Good, easy recipe. Like a cross between spice and chocolate cake, though. I think I cooked it too long. Don't overcook it even though it doesn't look done.

Delicious and foolproof to prepare! Only 5-10 mins of prep. Instead of 3/4c of brown sugar I used 1/2c of white sugar mixed with molasses and it wasn't overly sweet. Tastes like a lighter version of a brownie topped with a thick chocolate pudding.

This is a wonderful recipe and it was very easy to make. I have been looking for this recipe after trying something similar at a resturant. I was very satisified with the results. This special cake took about an hour to make, and it was eaten within 15 minutes! This recipe was a winner with my family. I made no modifications to the recipe, but in the future, I will try experimenting with using less sugar and more chocolate powder to make it taste richer.

Wonderful as all have said. One good point is that the cake batter is so thick it can be difficult to spread evenly in the pan. Using clean hands, lightly dip fingers in water and you can spread the batter by gently "pushing" and distributing it in the pan.

This cake was very quick and easy, made with common pantry items. The cake is dense, with a slightly crispy crust, with a pudding like layer below. It was good the next day as well, just pop in the microwave. My husband and sons loved the intense chocolate flavor, I'll make this one again!!

This recipe has been in my family for years. I love it EVERY time I make it and it's wonderful for "unexpected" company. It's quick and easy to make and all ingredients are usually on hand. Serve hot with a small scoop of ice cream! It's like hot fudge cake!

Very easy and with pantry ingredients. Bland chocolate flavor. Tastes like it needs something more. Maybe instant coffee mixed with the cocoa. Nice crust on top but difficult to tell when the cake portion is completely cooked.

What a find! This is perfect for drop-in company because it's quick, easy, and full of ingredients that you keep on your shelf anyway. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe!

This was certainly easy, but my chocolate-loving kid did not like the taste. Perhaps it is the brown-sugar in the pudding sauce?
