Ingredients

  • 3 (2 ounce) bars NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Baking Chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 12 peppermint hard candies, crushed
  • 1 cup NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
  • 1 tablespoon shortening

Directions

  1. LINE 8-inch-square baking pan with foil.
  2. MICROWAVE baking bars in medium, microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70 percent) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in candy. Thinly spread into prepared baking pan. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until firm.
  3. REMOVE foil from candy; break into bite-size pieces.
  4. LINE baking sheets with waxed paper.
  5. MICROWAVE morsels and vegetable shortening in small, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100 percent) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. DIP candy pieces 3/4 of the way into melted chocolate; shake off excess. Place on prepared baking sheets. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  • NOTE: To crush candies, place in heavy-duty resealable plastic food storage bag; close. Crush with rolling pin or mallet.
