i am 7 months pregnant and was super excited to find this recipe that appeared to address all my cravings at once... it worked!
mine doesn't look as pretty as the picture (may need to refrigerate longer, or fridge the pudding layer a while before adding the final peanut butter layer to keep them from smearing together). i used 3 small-ish bananas. also, this is very rich... PB is the main flavor, accented with chocolate, banana and pretzel. will probably halve the recipe if i make again.
and finally, i almost went down to 4 stars bc this recipe is very labor intensive. seems like there's lots of chocolate-peanut butter-banana options out there that you just throw together without dirtying every dish and spoon in the house.... but it is worth the effort!
Soo. The taste is amazing. I give it four stars because the crust falls apart and cutting this into bars is a messy eating experience. Next time I will make this into a pie instead and serve on a plate. Was more time consuming than I thought too the pudding mix is vey thick to spread but I do love the pretzel taste!
