I had NEVER made a mousse pie before in my life. I have been cooking for 35+ years, but this was new to me. This was so easy. I took it to my work where we have LOTS of excellent cooks. It was a HUGE success. I was asked for the recipe about a dozen times. I did make a few changes. Instead of the milk chocolate candy bar, I used 5 1oz squares of Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate. To compensate for the extra bite-y-ness, I also increased the miniature marshmallows to 2 cups. I sweetened the whipping cream with 1/4 cup sugar prior to whipping. I also shaved a small (bite-size) Hershey's plain chocolate bar on top for that extra special look. Again, this was so easy. I will be using this recipe again and again.

So darn easy and delicious! Whatever you do please use the Hershey bar with the almonds. The almonds add another layer of flavor and a little crunch. Without it this pie would be somewhat lacking in flavor. Oreo crust is the best.

Surprisingly simple and unbelievably rich and delicious. I followed the recipe exactly, only my chocolate bar had almonds and toffee pieces in it. This is definitely a five-star dessert! Thank you, Lois!

I am pregnant and was looking for a French Silk pie recipe without raw eggs, and this fit the bill. It was super easy, wonderful, and delicious. I used chocolate chips in place of the candy bar and if I'm ever in a big hurry, I'll consider using some "canned" whipped cream instead of whipping my own!

I guess it probably would have turned out had I whipped the whipping cream as stated in the ingredients! Needless to say it was a mess taking it over to my parents' house! I was so disappointed because I knew it was going to taste great.

This was the best pie ever. It was like eating chocolate air! We followed other reviewers -- used 1/2 bag of semi-sweet choc chips, waited for quite sometime for the melted mixture to cool, added a little vanilla to whipped cream, and was sure to FOLD in the whipped cream - not stir. The birthday club at work went crazy over this! Also....add a dollop of whipped cream just before serving!

Excellent pie! Easy to make. My husband and guest loved it. I used semi-sweet morsels (6-7 oz)...make sure chocolate mixture is completely cooled before adding whipped cream...and be sure to "fold" in the whipped cream instead of mix. I made the graham cracker crust (1), to go with it which I found on this website. It was easy and delicious as well.

It took more than 3 hours to thicken. It tasted good. I might have whipped the cream too long. Was very frothy.. It didn't wow me or my husband..

This pie tasted awesome! I used 7 ounces of milk chocolate chips instead of a bar, because I could only find dark, white, and semi-sweet baking bars in-store. It worked out fine! But make sure to cool the chocolate/marshmallow mixture ALL the way before folding in the whipped cream, or your cream will melt. I made this mistake (it was almost cool), so the filling didn't "puff up" as much as the picture - but at least it all fit into the crust! I waited until the pie had set (two hours), then dotted it with extra milk and white chocolate chips. I sent it along with my husband to our church's weekly "men's group dinner" the next day and it was a hit. My husband wasn't a huge fan of the milk chocolate flavor because it tasted "exactly like a hershey bar", but everyone else loved it! Still, I love him, so maybe next time I'll try semi-sweet. Overall, very easy, very quick, very eye-appealing, very good!

this recipe was so simple to make. the only thing that puzzled me was that the chocolate mix had to cool for a while otherwise it would melt the whip cream. The chocolate tastes great and so does the whip cream, when making the whip cream i would add 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 teaspoons of sugar, it gives more flavor. Mixing the chocolate mix and whip cream together should be fun and I am going to shave chocolate on the top instead of putting chocolate bars on to. SHOULD BE GOOD!

My husband and sons DEVOURED this pie! It was incredibly simple and quick, and I've been instructed I now need to make two at a time, not one. I used a Hershey Bar with almonds, an orea crust and as recommended by another member topped it with mini chocolate chips. I also had leftover pie mix but just threw it in a glass and stuck in the fridge...it didn't last long. :) Thanks for posting...definately a keeper!

This pie is amazing! It tastes like a fluffy delectable candy bar. I didn't have any problems with it setting. I used dark chocolate and whipped the cream to stiff peaks before combining it with the chocolate. Huge hit for me!
