I made these cookies and they were gone in less than a day! My family loved them! I followed the recipe exactly. However, do watch the baking time.

I only used the cookie portion of the recipe, as I had leftover frosting I was trying to use up. The cookies were ok. Very soft. I wasn't a huge fan, but people at work liked them.

I followed the recipe exact and was very pleased with my results. the cookie texture was chewy, the icing delicious, the only thing i changed was instead of drop cookies i made two "9"x"12" cookie slabs (be sure to poke holes in the dough to let the air excape, and do not over cook as cookies will be dry!)and spread the icing evenly over on slab, then carefully placed the second slab on top. To make cutting the cookie slab into squares easier I wrapped the cookie in cling wrap and placed it into the freezer for an hour and a half. I've also baked a brownie layer to substitute a cookie layer with great raves from my family, goes great with ice cream :)

Pretty darned good, and relatively easy, just fiddly. Definitely don't want to overbake them, though.

They took longer to make than the recipe called for but they were worth it! They stayed soft and chewy and I got great reviews from my family. I followed the recipe exactly.

Oh my goodness! I would give these a 10 if I could! Fabulous, excellent, amazing... You get the idea. I baked mine for 9 minutes because I have a hot oven and I used 3 cups of powdered sugar. The filling was the perfect consistancy and the cookies are nice and soft. I'm giving most of these as gifts but I can't wait to make more!

Truly one of the best cookies I have ever made or had. There amazing. I kept good watch of the time to make sure that I did not over bake (it looks a little undone when you first pull it out - it will cool perfect). My other word of advice is to make sure the chocolate halves cool completely before adding the mint middle. If it is too warm the mint middle will melt and become messy.

WONDERFUL! I made a double batch, so it was a little time consuming and made lots of dishes, but was SO worth it! I agree with another reviewer that the frosting is a little runny, but I was also putting it on warm cookies, and probably a little too thick (you really don't need much frosing for these to work). To compensate I stuck them in the freezer, which I was planning to do anyways. They are quite the jaw breaker to chew out of the freezer, but that's the way we like them! If you don't plan on freezing these, make sure your cookies are completely cooled! Then ENJOY because these are y-u-m-m-y!

These are great cookies if you don't overbake them! The only problem I had with the icing was that I made time and a half of what the recipe called for and I had just enough.

These taste like moist mint Oreos. Not over-powering at all, and not as difficult as some sandwich cookies. Does require an extra half cup of confectioners sugar.

Eatable but very dry & just a big blob of dry cookie w/ a funny taste. Adding the cream just made it worse, it's too sweet & just slides right out. will not make again.

I decided to try this recipe even though I didn't have any peppermint extract on hand. I followed the cookie recipe exactly and they came out perfectly! I agree with other reviews about following the baking time exactly.. if they are in even a minute too long, they will get very hard. 11 minutes seemed just right for me. I started with the normal directions for the filling, which made it too thin, and when tested in a sandwich, came running out the sides making a big mess. I ended up adding about 1/2 cup more confectioner's sugar to get it to the consistency that I thought would work between the cookies. I suggest either adding more sugar, or adding the milk gradually to get the thickness that you like. I also added a dash of vanilla extract, since I wasn't using mint, to give it a bit more flavor. After filling the cookies and letting them set, they were perfect! Not too messy, and they tasted great. And after adding to the filling, I ended up having just enough for my cookies, with just 3 left over without filling. Not bad!

Yikes!! Did not work out well. I followed the recipe exactly and my dough was crumbly, so much that I had to forget about using a spoon to put it on the pan I had to roll them by hand to make them hold together. The frosting was so so so good!! As for the cookie part, not too much flavor and too dry. I was so dissappointed because who doesn't like chocolte and mint! I still have some in the cupboard, trust me if they were great they would have been gone the same day!

I followed the directions to the T and they only came out what I would consider "so-so." The dough wasn't that sweet, and the frosting was overly sweet and way too runny. I couldn't seem to get the consistancy of the frosting thick enough to hold the top cookie on, and I had a large mess on my hands. Overall, they taste ok, but not great.

These cookies turned out very well! The cookie part is nice and chewey, and the mint filling was also great. The cookie is very versatile, I think I will try peanut butter and maybe a coffee filling at some point. I think a cream cheese based filling might also make these cookies even better!

My aunt use to make these for us as kids. I made them to put in our cookie plates for friends and family. Needless to say I had a hard time parting with them and had to make more for myself.

Tasty cookies! I added a bit more mint to the filling because I like a strong mint flavor. They tasted to me like mint chocolate chip ice cream!! Yum!!

Deeelish, soft and moist at 11 minutes bake time. Biting into this cookie, there is a brief delay before the mint flavor hits, during which time the sweetness of the cookie fills your mouth. The mint is powerful, and slowly fades as you're chewing, gently being replaced by the chocolate flavor, which lingers long enough to make you want another.
