Very good flavor. A little dry though. I took andes mints and put them in a Wilton bottle for melting chocolate candy and melted the mints in the microwave by heating it for 20 seconds then shaking then putting it in for another 20 seconds till all melted. Then I squirted the mints in criss cross design all over the cookie...they looked great :) and tasted pretty good too!

These are the best cookies I have ever tasted. Hands down the best. I made them for Christmas last year with about 10 other cookies and everyone was fighting over the last couple. These were the first ones gone off a huge cookie platter. The cookie was even better a couple of days later if they last that long because the cookie gets so moist and chewy. I'm gonna go make some more right now. Next Christmas I will for sure make a double batch.

These cookies were a hit. They taste like chewy Thin Mints. Be very careful not to over bake. They also keep well.

If I could give this 4.5 stars I would. The cookies come out incredibly well, moist and chewy, just like a brownie, but the "frosting" was the part I wasn't super thrilled with. I used two different types of mints, to see which worked best, and the Andes were better. But I still think maybe I would like some melted chocolate with peppermint extract instead of an actual mint. I also used a double boiler instead of melting the butter, sugar, water and chocolate directly into a pan. I thought it would help shield the chocolate a little better and prevent it from burning. Warning though, this batter is very very thick, and it was difficult for my hand mixer to get through it. Overall though, these are a huge hit, and I will be making them again.

These cookies are as good as reviewed! We loved them. I made some with traditional Andes Mints and some with the Andes Mint Parfaits. We thought the Mint Parfait cookies came out much prettier because they are more "minty" in color. I would make them again with the Parfaits! YUMMY!

I entered a local cookie bake-off (about 25 entries) using these cookies today. I am not a really a mint fan, but... apparently the judges were because I won! I used Cadbury Pep Mint Patties (chopped into small pieces) and I melted the chocolate in the microwave & then quickly spread it on the cookies. I did that simply for time because the Pep patties are THICK and would have taken forever to melt on their own. I baked the cookies for 8 minutes resulting in chewy almost brownie like cookies. On their own, the cookies are a little on the blah side, but with the peppermint "icing"- Fantastic! I can't count how many times I heard, "Mmm this tastes exactly like a girl guide cookie!!!". They're chewy, rich & an overall winner!

I'm giving these cookies 5 stars because everyone who ate them loved them, although I'm not a big fan of Mint, but I still new they made a good cookie. The only thing I'd recommend is that if your packaging them with other cookies, they give the other cookies a minty taste, so I would just package them alone. Made a great christmas cookie!

These cookies are so good (I LOVE mint) and turned out great. I did try to chop and mix the rest of the mints into the last batch and they were too runny. Leaving them on the top was much better! I will make these again!

I didn't change anything about the recipe, except microwaving the ingredients to start instead of using the stove. 1/2 mint is the perfect amount to use...1 full mint would overpower the cookie. These cookies are divine! Seriously, my new favorite cookie recipe.

I think these are my new favorite cookies! I didn't make any changes to the recipe. I baked them for 10 minutes and got a PERFECT soft, chocolate-y, minty cookie.

These were good when they were soft, but they dried out very quickly. I made one change by adding mint extract.

I used a whole andy's mint on the top and they were awesome! I will try the suggestion to add a 1/4 tsp. of mint extract next time.

These cookies are really fantastic. I made them for a church luncheon and everyone loved them! Now the pastor tells everyone, "I know someone who can make Thin Mint cookies...only hers are better!" The only change I made to this recipe is that I melted Andes mints in a sauce pan and spooned a bit of the melted mint chocolate onto each cookie. It is time consuming, but I figured it would look better.
