Wonderful! Easy to overcook. Don't cook with your eyes. I could have sworn these were not done by 9 minutes. Consequently, I cooked one batch for 12 minutes and they were hard, not soft like I prefer. I got the hang of it after the first batch. These cookies freeze well. Good for gift giving.

My fiance had enjoyed these cookies from his mother for years...he thought it was her secret recipe. I made these tonight and surprised him. He drank a gallon of milk and a dozen cookies...well not quite but almost! They were SO GOOD! Thanks!

Oh so yummy! I used half of mint on each cookie. After they melted I spread it around the entire surface of the cookie. Sooo chewy, great flavor. My mother said she believed them to be the best cookies she has ever had, and she loves to bake! Thank you

This was good. I made it according to the recipe, with the exception of adding 1 tsp peppermint extract to the dough. It is important to chill the dough before trying to roll it into balls! I rolled mine into balls and then froze them so I can pull out a few at a time to bake. They're very good! Be patient with the candy on top - I expected it to melt faster. It does take a few minutes to melt enough to spread it around, but it will work eventually! All in all, a very good cookie!

Delicious! I will definitely be sending these out this Christmas. Half a mint is perfect and results in a very minty cookie. I think a whole mint would overpower the chocolate taste. My boyfriend said they tasted like Keebler's Grasshopper cookies and I agree! Also, they taste fantastic frozen. Mmm...

I found this cookie easy to make...there were a few more steps then normal baking cookies. But they were awesome...I also didn't know what kind of mint to use so I used the After Eight mints which turned out I'm sure just as good as the Andres. Thanks for the recipe!

These will satisfy a choclate craving after the first bite! I was worried while making them that they would not be sweet enough, but they are so rich, I wouldn't want them any sweeter! Plus, the andes mint candy on top takes care of the sweet factor. YUMMY!

I had the worst luck with these cookies. They ran all over the pan! A few would look really good, others ok and atlease one would be horrible looking! They tasted good though.

This recipe worked very well and everyone loved them! The chocolate cookie dough works well on its own or with the mint! I would definitely suggest using only half (or less) of the mint. The first time baking this cookie, I used whole Andes and found the mint to over power the cookie and completely lose the taste of the chocolate dough. Thanks for the recipe!

These are one of the best cookies EVER! My family and friends loved them. They are soo chewy and the melted mint on top just makes them even better. I made these for Christmas and put them in goody baskets. To give them a festive touch, I sprinkled red and green sugar on them right after the mint had melted. They set up great and looked perfect!

Everyone who tasted these loved them. They were gone in two days. My mother asked me to make them for her school. After the first couple batches came out of the oven, I started putting two Andes mints on each cookie, and the topping ended up thicker and tastier. Next time I make these, I will put two mints on each cookie - makes it all the better for chocolate/mint lovers. Some people told me they tasted like Girl Scout Thin Mints only chewier.

I have to agree with all of you~ delicious. The tip about putting them in the refrigerator was great, it set up the mint in no time. I did take them back out to eat them though. I'll be make these again.

These were my contribution to a Labor Day potluck and they were simply devoured! I got so, so many compliments on them. We put them in the freezer for a couple of hours before serving and it really gave the mint flavor a kick!

Fantastic! I made these cookies for the county fair and won first prize in the chocolate cookie category. At first, I used 1/2 a mint on each cookie but that was not enough as the chocolate did not spread over the entire cookie. For the cookies I entered, I used the whole Andes mint. It's easiest to spread the mint with the bottom of a fork to obtain a swirled pattern. Great recipe...my brother says it's now his favorite cookie. Thanks for sharing!
