My fiancé and I made this together and loved it. He loves mint, I love chocolate...it is the perfect cookie for us! We didn’t change anything when we made this and found it to be great just the way it is.

OH MY GOSH!!! These are to die for, and I love that I can eat until I'm stuffed. They aren't too rich, and just the perfect amount of chocolate for a true chocolate lover as myself. Gotta try these and they are wonderful for the holidays.

These were very good...very sweet though. I used half an andes mint for each cookie and that was perfect. My cookies were a little flat, but I always seem to have that problem!

This cookie is so gooood! I made a batch and sent them home with my brother inlaw. He was driving from visiting with us in San francisco back to his home in Los Angeles. The drive is about 6 hours long and not one of those cookies made it! He ate every single bite! I didn't need to change a thing, perfect as is.

This cookie has been a family favorite for years.TIP..Use parchment paper instead of greasing the cookie sheets. You will cut back on calories a bit and cookie removal is quick and clean. I use the same sheet of paper for the whole batch. GOOD LUCK !! YUMMY!!

Before making these, I read a review where it is described in great detail how to make the mint melt and swirl properly -- giving me the impression that these were going to be difficult, and that I was going to have to play around with them to get them to look good. Nothing could be farther from the truth. When the cookies were done baking, I immediately put a whole mint on top of each cookie. After placing each mint, I immediately took a spoon and swirled each mint. My cookies came out perfectly swirled and beautiful. I don't think there's really any reason to make this more complicated than it has to be. I've baked better chocolate cookies, but as far as the mint aspect of this cookie goes, it was a brilliant idea and all too easy for the attractive and impressive result!

I made these just as the recipe said, I followed the advice of Big China with the pan spray and the mint method. They turned out great, I got awesome compliments on these

These chocolate cookies are DELICIOUS! This was my first time making home-made cookies & Im glad I chose this recipe. Not only were they super easy to make, but they turned out great for a first timer. A little crisp on the outside, moist & soft on the inside. I agree with another review... Yummy either way, but taste best when completely cooled.

These cookies really are wonderful. They stay soft for days! The only drawback is that they are very putsy and take quite a bit of time. If time isn't an issue for you, then they are a great holiday cookie. I used them for a cookie exchange at Christmas time and they got rave reviews.

This is a wonderfull recipe,I didn't change a thing. I did find that if you keep them in the icebox they stay fresh a whole lot longer and they taste great that way! My family just loves um! So try it that way and see if you agree with my findings. YUM,YUM,YUM

They were so good when I made them last night. They remained soft until the next day. However, they turned out a little bit flatter than I expected. They were delicious though so I didn't mind. Also, I used chopped up bittersweet chocolate block (500g -- slightly more than the 2 cups in the recipe) instead of chips so maybe that made a difference.

These are good, but very rich. Make them smaller and use 1/2 of a mint candy. I made these for two friends who like chocolate mint candies. They liked them, but no "wow" factor.

I uused the thin mint chips and mixed them in with the dough. This was a lot easier and I'd seen previous reviews recommending this. I thought this was just an ok cookie, the mint flavor was a little too strong for me and the cookies were crispier than I prefer.

The taste was good, but they didn't really seem to hold up very well. After a few days they were fairly stale, even though the other cookies I had made the same day (peanut butter blossoms and sugar cookies) were still fresh and chewy.

VERY good! I must say, though, I almost threw these out. I followed the directions perfectly, refrigerated for one hour...and it was still very wet. There was no way I was forming balls out of that dough. So I put it back in the refrigerator for another hour or so and it was better, but still not rollable. I spooned them onto the cookie sheet like a regular cookie and baked them. They came out big and flat as a pancake! Tasted alright, but did not look pretty at all. I threw those cookies out and luckily stuck the dough in the fridge overnight. Tried again the next morning. Rolled my little balls, baked for 8 minutes and voila! They came out perfect. I melted 1/2 the Andes mint on each cookie, swirled it with a spoon and let them harden on the counter. They tasted just like a Girl Scout Thin Mint, except they were chewy, which was awesome. Definitely making these again, but I'll plan to leave the dough in the fridge overnight from now on.

Pretty strong on the mint side. 1/2 of the andies mint would actually do. Very good cookies.
