I made these for my daughter's preschool Christmas party, and they were the only thing on the table that was completely gone and they went the fastest! They were awesome! I used greek yogurt because I didn't have sour cream....and it worked out great. You can taste the yogurt though- so if you aren't a big fan don't sub it:) Great recipe! The kids still ask for them, and they were soooo cute:)

These were adorable in their final stage, and the kids loved them. They do taste like truffles. You really need to grind the cookies down until they are fine. What worked best for us was to roll a few out at a time, and put them on a plate/bowl filled with the cookie crumbs and roll them around to cover them. They are much easier to shape when they are covered in the crumbs. I made them all up and then we stuck the eyes, ears and tails on all of them at the end. We made them a little bigger than a hershey kiss, so we ended up with an cookie sheet full.

These are really cute! I posted a pic on Facebook of the ones I made and it received rave reviews! I used mint (grasshopper style) cookies. They are a delicious compliment to the semi-sweet chocolate! The only thing I didn't like about making these cute little treats, was that the "dough" was hard to work with and melted quickly. These are really good frozen!

My mother LOVES to make these, although I am not patient enough to make them, we all love to eat them. She uses white chocolate also for variety and they are really cute additions to a cookie tin. Another variation is to dip cherries in the chocolate and let the 'tail' be the cherry stem. She'll be so proud to see this recipe here, thanks for sharing :)

I used chocolate caramels softened and cut into long strips to use for the tails instead - you can curl them into different shapes better. I also had vanilla cookie crumbs for the "blonde/brown" mice. I found that chocolate wafers melted in 30 sec intervals in the microwave is better than chocolate chips or baker's chocolate.

These were really good once they were done. I doubled the recipe for a party. I found I could only work with the "dough" a little bit at a time. I would scoop some out and put it back in the fridge. If you let it set out it gets too sticky to roll and form into the mice. But, they were a hit. They taste like a fudgey- brownie. The long red licorice I used for the tails, I also used for the eyes. I just cut really small pieces and stuck them in for the eye. I would of gave it 5 stars, but I found it time consuming to make.

Cute, but did not care for the flavor. Would not make these again.
