This recipie was so easy to make. I had 38 people over and a ton of people marveled that I had made the cake and the frosting. Thank you.

I think this frosting was pretty good. I made it for some cupcakes I found on this site. I thought it was just gonna be chocolate frosting but it had more of a dark chocolate taste to me. I had to use 4 cups of powdered sugar just to get frosting consistency. I would use this recipe again, I would just lessen the cocoa.

Love this receipe it is delicious. I made it just like the receipe and put it on a yellow cake and it is very good. But I needed a little more milk. Didn't need to change a thing.

This is delicious frosting, and so easy! It's not the best I've ever had, but for being so easy and still tasting good I'm giving it five stars. I used it on the One Bowl Brownies. When I need a quick chocolate frosting, this will be the one I go to!

I think this is a great chocolate frosting! I used *real* butter and upped the cocoa and it was very chocolatey! I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but it tasted good to me. If you are a chocoholic, this is def for you! I swirled it w/vanilla butter cream frosting to top red velvet cupcakes. Thanks for a great chocolate frosting!

Delicious! I took another reviewer's advice and increased the cocoa by 1/3 cup and sifted it into the butter. I also decreased the sugar to 2 cups total, which I thought was perfect because I like dark chocolate. It turned out very smooth and chocolatey.

This frosting tasted very good. I made it with 3/4 of a cup of cocoa instead of the 1/3 cup. It was a bit grainy so make sure you sift the powdered sugar.

As with other reviewers, i found this recipe to be much too sweet, with not enough of a chocolate flavor. I am rating the recipe as it is written, not according to the changes suggested by other reviewers. Still, a solid, easy recipe for the future, with the other reviewers' suggestions. Thanks!

A WONDERFUL frosting! I used half and half for a richer taste. Also, feel free to add more cocoa powder for a richer chocolate taste. *Also, add some peanut butter to it and you have a delicious chocolate peanut butter frosting ~ just add a little more milk too ;) So good, you can eat it plain!

Yup - a little less white sugar - little more cocoa powder and this is perfect! And I added the milk as I went so as not over do it since I'd changed the other ingredients. Thick, chocolately and fudgey - very tasty.

Great frosting. I made it with the too much chocolate cake, and I poured it on top of the bundt cake. It made a perfect liquidy center of the bundt. I had added a little more milk to the recipe so I could pour it on top of my bundt cake. It was AWESOME! If you love chocolate, then try these two recipes together, and you will be in heaven. I was not a chocolate cake fan, and now I am in love.

I followed the advice of others and used less sugar. I only needed about 2 cups with some added cocoa powder and it was perfect. This frosting was fantastic, just not exactly as the recipe calls for.

Good recipe. I decreased the p. sugar by a half cup and increased the cocoa by 1/3 of a cup. I was pleased with the result. I also placed the wet incredients in the bowl and then added the dry ingredients. It mixed well and the result was a nice spreadable frosting.

I made this exactly as written and it was pretty good. It tasted exactly like the frosting that you buy at the grocery store, which I suppose is good, but I was really looking for something better (maybe creamier?).
