Chocolate-Filled Crescents

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Separate dough into 8 triangles.
  2. Place tablespoon of chocolate chips on wide end of each triangle. Roll up, starting at shortest side of triangle, rolling to opposite point. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

I made this into chocolate-marshmallow crescents by adding three mini marshmallows into the middle of the crescents over the mini chocolate chips. The boys inhaled them. Big hit.

We make these all the time... didn't know there was an "official" recipe. Try adding some strawberry cream cheese to the inside, it kicks it up a bit!!!

OMG, I feel so foolish: a year ago I had a friend serve me choc crescents from Trader Joes, and they were FAB!! So I've been meaning to go buy I'll use the extra dark chips we buy in bulk at Winco to make these ourselves, duh. Cannot wait to try it!

I use bakers chocolate semi-sweet bars instead of chips. Easier to work with :) Other than that these are super easy and amazing! No more AM trips to Panera for these :)

This was so easy and yet so delicious! It's a perfect little snack that's great for chocolate cravings. Ya just gotta love it when two simple ingredients come together to create something so tasty. Plus you can easily "fancy" this up a bit and add a little cream cheese to the middle or drizzle with white chocolate and garnish with strawberries or raspberries - I swear you can put anything in a crescent roll and it'll taste good....

My daughter introduced me to these a couple of years ago, but her version is made with a dollop of Nutella inside instead of the chocolate chips. They are sooooo yummy!!!!

I made half my batch with nutela and the other half with semi sweet chocolate chips. Nutela was wayyy better, not just for flavor but also a better compliment to the savory dough.
