Awesome! I, like many of the other reviewers, have been making this for years. Kids like it, adults LOVE it! Be sure to microwave the chocolate frosting for less than a minute so it is easy to pour it over top (I only use half the tub). I have also made this in a pretty glass bowl with graham cracker crumbs (like "dirt" dessert). Let it sit overnight for the best, soft texture. Enjoy!

This does taste very much like a chocolate eclair. The only change I made was the chocolate topping, I used the one I make for real eclairs: CHOCOLATE GLAZE: Melt 1 stick butter in sauce pan. Add 1/3 cup cocoa, 1 cup sugar 1 teasp vanilla,, 1/4 cup milk. Boil for 1 minute, then set aside to cool. This is a quick and easy recipe and is fun for the kids to make. You can use cheesecake pudding mix also

This dessert was good, but I'm only giving it 3 stars because it uses all premade ingredients (pudding mix and frosting). I did use the recipe on this site for the chocolate sauce which was fantastic! I may try this again, but I would make my pudding from scratch for a less artificial flavour. If you're short for time and have guests coming over though, this is easy to whip together and people will think it took you more effort than it actually does!

This was just so-so for me. Maybe it was the quality of ingredients that I used. I used a generic pudding and that's probably why the taste was off. Next time I will choose better ingredients.

Yummy! I have been making this for years and now one of my girlfriends is getting the credit bringing it to parties. I was so glad someone suggested microwaving the frosting as it would be impossible to spread hard. NO CHANGES NEEDED. It tastes like it takes more effort and it is so easy! The crackers need to get soft. Tastes even better 2 days later!

LOVE this dessert. I needed almost 3 packs of graham crackers. I microwaved the frosting for 15 seconds to get it to a more spreadable consistency. Also, I did let this sit for 24 hours before serving, which gave the graham crackers a chance to soften up and made it easier to cut.

This was a quick and easy dessert. Everyone loved it except husband and I. Next time I'll skip the chocolate frosting and leave it plain or add some whipped topping to replace the frosting.

I had never had this dessert until my stepmother made it for me a few yrs ago, I just made it for a class presentation and everyone loved it. The only difference is she uses french vanilla pudding mix and adds a little milk to the canned frosting to make it creamier and spreadable. I also crushed some of the graham crackers and sprinkled it on top of the frosting before serving it, may try some crushed walnuts on top next time!

If you are trying to make this fast, try another reviewer suggestion that you dip the graham crackers in milk before layering them. It works great! I served the dessert in about 3 hours after I made it and it turned out nicely. I also used the other reviewer's hot fudge recipe instead of the frosting. A few extra steps, but totally worth it!

This is an easy and very good dessert. I've made it many times playing around with different options and I've found the following to work best for my family: I make it at least 1 day ahead (or 2 if there is time!), I use the chocolate icing reciped that many reviewers use (cocoa, butter, sugar, vanilla and milk) but I DOUBLE the frosting recipe to make a nice layer of fudgy topping. Make sure you do NOT allow the frosting to cool too long because it becomes very difficult to spread if it gets too cool - a bit warmer than room temp is the best so that it drizzles out of the pot into the dessert. You will need AT LEAST 3 packages of graham crackers, if making a 9X13 pan. And you can use vanilla or banana pudding...both taste yummy!
