Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt and set aside. Beat butter or margarine and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour mixture. Stir in cereal and chocolate chips.
  3. Drop onto greased baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
