These were good, but not the best. It seemed a bit dry afterwards to me. It was great right when it came out though! It was horrific when forming the dogh into balls to coat in sugar. They were so sticky! I tried putting water on my hands to avoid stickiness, but it still stuck. I found it easier to just scoop some dough and toss it in a bowl of powdered sugar and move it around in there so it will be covered in powdered sugar. :P

Like little nuggets of fudgy chocolate cake - yum! I forgot to grease the pan the first time round and it didn't really make a difference - no problem getting then off the pan.

I have been using this site for a few years, but I've never commented or rated a recipe until now. These cookies were absolutely delicious. I made them for a holiday party and they were the biggest hit. I made the batter exactly as the recipe states and, at the suggestion of other, froze the batter for 45 minutes. I used a samll scooper to scoop the dough and drop it directly into the confectioners sugar. It is a waste of time to try to handle the dough with your fingers. I I suggest HEAVILY coating the cookies with the confectioners sugar before placing them on a greased cookie sheet. Yes, you MUST grease it. I cooked 1 sheet at a time on the top rack of the oven to get them to look crinkled and they did. I will most definitely be making these little bites of heavenly chocolate brownie-like gems again. You will NOT be disappointed.

Very quick and easy! Taste just like one-bite brownies! Skip the refrigeration and just put the dough into the freezer for 30 mins before shaping cookies. I followed others advice and baked near the top (2nd rack from top of oven). Enjoy!

Delicious! They taste like little brownies! The only change I made to the recipe was to use 3/4 of the called-for sugar instead of the full amount. They were a cinch to make, and I find it very confusing how so many people are having a runny batter with these cookies. I mean, there's hardly any liquid in them. The batter was very thick for me even before I refrigerated it overnight. I know I didn't mix it wrong because I made my first batch, then mixed up another half batch because I didn't think one was enough, and both came out the same consistency. (The 1.5 recipe yielded 75 cookies, by the way.) I coated the 1-inch cookie balls well with the powdered sugar and baked them on the second to top rack for 10 minutes. They came out perfect! So yummy!! Will definitely make again.

So good, so simple! I followed the recipe as posted with the addition of ½ teaspoon espresso powder. The texture is amazing, crisp on the edges; soft and chewy in the center. I’ll make these again and again.

not a big fan :( sorry. Alot of work went into these and i just wasn't impressed with the result. Everyone else liked them though. I found them to be a little dry, they didnt keep well (even with the old bread in the container trick) and I wasnt a huge fan of the flavor. I am going to try changing this recipe a bit and trying again. I think an addition of semi sweet chocolate chips might help. I'll let you know how that goes

These were ok for us, not our favorite cookie. My daughter thought they tasted like dark chocolate, which she doesn't care for. My son that is a lover of all things chocolate only wanted to give this three stars! I'm not sure if I will be making these again.

This is a favorite of one of my coworkers so I thought I'd give them a whirl. I have NEVER made any kind of chocolate crinkle before, but I am so glad I did. My family loved them. They are soft, chewy, chocolately, and delicious. I also used about half the recipe to make chocolate blossom cookies. I rolled the balls in granulated sugar and then pressed a Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses into them right after they came out of the oven. Yum! I'll be making the Kisses version for Santa this year per my daughter's request.

My son says these taste just like brownies so if you don't need a cookie just make brownies. If you really want a cookie then these are good. When you are rolling the dough into little balls, divide the dough into quarters and only use 1 quarter at a time. Keep the rest of the dough in the refrigerator until you need it because the colder it is, the easier it is to work with.

Despite the gooey batter, I thought they were a little on the dry side after they cooked. They were good, but not amazing.

These are yummy. They taste like chewy brownies. I made them pretty small as they are very rich. They did not make as many as the recipe said, so keep that in mind.
