Chocolate Covered Cherries III

"This is so easy to make! Simply melt the chocolate and dip the cherries. Be sure to have a sheet of wax paper on hand. The recipe works well with strawberries, too."

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 ounces milk chocolate, chopped
  • 8 fluid ounces milk
  • 10 cherries with stems

DIRECTIONS

  1. Using a double boiler, heat the chocolate until melted. Stir in milk, using enough to make the chocolate smooth.
  2. Holding the cherries by their stems, dip them one by one into the chocolate mixture.
  3. Place the coated cherries on wax paper until the chocolate has dried.

You may want to heat the milk with the chocolate. Hot chocolate and cold milk do not mix well.

The first time I made them, they were ok. The second time I used no milk and melted Hershey Kisses....that made them great.

I was so happy to find a chocolate dipped fruit that didn't have huge amounts of shortening in it. Thanks!
