I love this frosting! It was so delicious and it actually saved some horrible cookies that I'd made. The perfect frosting recipe.

I wanted to use this frosting for cupcakes so i took advise from another reviewer and used just under 1/4 cup milk for a creamier frosting. Quick, easy and delicious. Makes just enough for 24 cupcakes.

Instead of cocoa, I melted some unsweetened chocolate and put it in, and I also had to use a couple more tablespoons of milk to get the consistency I wanted. Tasted amazing, this will definitely be my go-to chocolate frosting!

This is really tasty chocolate frosting that is super easy to make. It wasn't too rich, which was nice, since I used it on an already-sweet birthday cake. I would recommend using a little more milk, as recommended in the recipe. Also, if you need to go back and touch up the recipe, make sure to use a wet spatula. It dries pretty quickly.

Fantastic recipe! I used this frosting to ice simple white cake cupcakes for a birthday party. The cupcakes were light and fluffy, with a wonderful flavor. I wanted the frosting a little more "chocolatey," so I melted some milk chocolate chips and added to the mix. The consistency was still perfect. Wonderful frosting!!!

This is maybe the second time I have ever made frosting and it was really good. And like other raters said, very sweet...which I happen to like. Also needs a little extra milk. So easy, I have no idea why anyone would buy frosting. Thank you!

This was WAY too sweet as written. I had to add extra butter, whipping cream and finally some cream cheese to cut the sweetness. I will admit, though, that I'm not a huge fan of really sweet stuff but this actually hurt my teeth when I tasted it!!

This frosting had a very pleasant, light, and buttery chocolate flavor. It was a little sweet, however. Since the recipe makes nowhere near 3 cups, I tripled the recipe. This was just about the perfect amount for frosting my 4-layer chocolate cake! I did have to add a lot of extra milk to make the frosting the right consistency. Thanks for the recipe!

I used to frost "Big Soft Ginger Cookies" from this site. I'm going to use it to frost a cake this weekend. This is my favorite buttercream frosting and will be a staple in my kitchen.

This worked great for my cup cakes, and was very easy. I had to use more milk than it called for, but used too much, so I suggest adding it very slowly. It was still very good, my husband put the extra in the fridge, too good to toss!

Let me point out, I did follow this recipe, and I didn't like it the way it was to begin with. Changing it made it worse, but it was pretty bad to start off. Here's the original review: This was terrible. It was disgustingly sweet. I tried to cut the sweetness by adding the unsweetened chocolate squares like someone else said, then by adding more co-co powder and more butter. That just ended up making a greasy frosting.
