Delicious. I followed reviewer Kerri's advice and used 1.5 tsp. of pumpkin pie spice instead of the other spices. I used chocolate chips as recipe called for but I also added 1cup raisins. I did not put the nuts in. absolutely will make again.

I just made these and I really liked them. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5 is for the few changes I made and will make next time. I cut back on the flour by 1/2 cup, added some ginger and cloves (will add even more next time) and I will definitely add even more chocolate chips next time. I found them very light, tasty and a definite keeper for my cookie collection.

These are GREAT. Very yummy with a cold glass of milk. The recipe makes a ton of cookies which I didn't realize until all of the batter was prepared.

At first this recipe seemed odd; the combo of pumpkin and chocolate was weird to me. These flew off the table. The combo while different is wonderful!!! They do get a little sticky though so be careful how you package them up for delivery or for bakesales. Use a plate under or it becomes a glob.

These cookies are so light and delicious! I'm baking them right now. They just melt in my mouth! I will use this recipe for all our pumpkin cookies. The only thing we did different was to accidentally add an extra cup of sugar. They are sooooooooo good! Thanks for the recipe!

Great recipe. My boys absolutely love this one. I make a couple changes. I use white chocolate chips, which I think improves the overall flavor of the pumpkin, and substitute 1.5 t of pumpkin pie spice for the spices. Makes a ton of cookies. They taste the best the day you make them, so I just keep the rest in the frige and make as needed. I make this one all the time in the cold winter months.

I made these over the weekend and they were very good! I took the advice of many reviewers and doubled the chips, pumpkin and cinnamon. I did add 1/2 tsp. ground cloves and that made it for me!! I absolutely loved the combination of chocolate and cloves YUM! Next time I may try some frostings. Thanks Diane!

Great recipe...I used a scoop and the cookies stayed perfectly round and plumped up during baking. I didn't have any nutmeg, so I substituted a pinch of allspice and cloves instead, and it was fine.

These were pretty good. The texture is certainly different than most cookies, but I thought that it was an interesting change. I doubled the amount of chocolate chips and am glad that I did because I thought that they needed to be just a touch sweeter. A great cookie selection for the fall!

These cookies taste like a real good cake like chocolate chip cookie, but not much of a pumpkin flavor. I even increased the nutmeg to 1/2 tsp. My family will probably like these because there is not much of a pumpkin flavor.

I got rave reviews from adults and kids with a modified version of the recipe. I used butter instead of shortening. 28 OZ of Pumpkin Puree. I doubled the cinnamon and added two teaspoons of Pumkin Pie Spice.

These cookies are too cakey and have little flavor. Too much baking soda, not enough pumpkin. I'm not sure I'll be able to give them away!

Excellent cookies! Easy to make, taste great. I brought these cookies along with two-bite brownies to a ladies get-together, and they were devoured... and the brownies left lonely on the dish. THAT is the sign of a GOOD cookie! ;oD These are not terribly pumpkin-y, btw, for those who are not pumpkin fans. They are akin to a spice cookie, with chocolate added for good measure. Very substantial.
