This bread is exceptionally good! I use 1 tbsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp cloves and 1 tbsp of Chinese five spice. I come from a very spice loving family and this is always a hit! If you are not accustomed to heavy heavy spice, then stick with the original recipe, it's just as good.

This was great! Just enough pumpkin and spice. But I added more chocolate.

fabulous. followed the recipe exactly. However, next time I'd try to substitute apple sauce for some of the oil / sugar.

The three loaves will disappear very quickly. I recommend eating it hot - so that the chocolate melts - with just a bit of butter

Sooooo delicious! The only change I made (accidentally) was to use regular sized chocolate chips instead of the minis. I made muffins from this batter, and they were wonderful. We had them Christmas morning.

I've made this several times and everyone who ever tastes it absolutely loves it! I usually add a little more nutmeg, just because I love the flavor. Very easy to make and always a favorite!

This is a very good recipe! I got 12 large muffins and one loaf. It's very moist and not overly sweet considering all the sugar that goes into it! I used pumpkin pie spice instead of cinnamon and nutmeg and I used milk (sneak it in whenever I can get the chance) instead of water. I will make this again for sure. THX

My 3-year-old daughter and I had a blast making this recipe. I only had two bread pans, so we made four jumbo muffins with the remaining batter, baking them for 20 minutes at 350. They turned out great! Very tasty!!

This is fantastic! I made a few alterations to the recipe... I don't like chocolate chips in bread, so I omitted them. I made one loaf with just walnuts (yum) one with raisins and walnuts (double yum) and the third with raisins, walnuts, a pinch of ground ginger and a dash of vanilla extract (triple yum).

This was similar to the other recipe I made today for Pumpkin Gingerbread. I added ginger, allspice, cloves, a little molasses and vanilla. I did half butterscotch and half chocolate chips as that was a winning combination the last time. I didn't want these to scorch like my last batch(because I overfilled the baking pans.....oops), so I was able to make two medium sized loaves and two mini. Smells wonderful. I won't be trying these for myself as they will be gifts for friends/family.

My family really likes this. I have made this twice and they always disappear quick. I used 2 cups fresh pumpkin instead of canned and reduced the water to 1/3 cup. I also used egg beaters and 1/2 cup applesauce and 1/2 cup canola oil. I make muffins instead of bread because my family tends to eat muffins more than a loaf of bread. This made 6 big muffins, 12 regular muffins, and 24 mini muffins. Will make again and again.

I followed the recipe as originally written and the bread turned out perfect!! it is sooo good. actually, i did make one change to cut half the fat out. For the 1 cup vegetable oil I did 1/2 applesauce and 1/2 vegetable oil. Still turned out super good!! This will be becoming a Holiday tradition.

Sooooo good!! I didn't put walnuts in and added another handful of mini chocolate chips - came out very moist and delicious!! Also, because I couldn't find 9x5 pans, I just used the disposable ones from the market that come in 3, they are like 8x4 but they fit, I just bake for about 6 mins longer.

I receive rave reviews and requests for this recipe every time I make it! I have found it is better if I use about 1/4 c less flour than the recipe calls for and I do not add the nuts. I also use a 1/4 c more chocolate chips than the recipe calls for. I use the regular size chip instead of the miniatures too. Great Recipe!!
