I usually use bisquick but when was out, made these from scratch and they were awesome. The kids loved them, so adding them to Sunday breakfast menu.

I was eager to try this out, as it would be the first time we ever ate chocolate chip pancakes. I followed the recipe, and mine weren't all that great. In fact my 2 kids, and their friend, asked I could make regular pancakes. Must of done something wrong, 'cause a lot of members gave it high ratings.

This is a really good pancake batter, but it's a little thick. I always follow the recipe, but increase the milk, by at least half a cup, if not more...i kinda add till I get the consistancy I like.

Mmmmm these pancakes are awesome. They taste even better than my old favorite one's from blueberry hill. I had no honey so i couldn't make the syrup so i used creamy whipped cream instead. I do want to make this again and try the syrup. Thanks so much!

These were great and easy to make! Batter seems too thick at first but lowering the griddle temp made them cook through. Its amazing how well the honey butter goes with chocolate chips!

Yummm! I reviewed these a LONG time ago with some changes but I just made them again, following the recipe to a T, and they're just as delicious as ever! These are the softest, fluffiest pancakes you'll ever make--that 2 tbsp baking powder reeeeally does the trick. I didn't use the syrup even though I'm sure it would have been yummy; this is the best drizzled with Hershey's chocolate syrup!!!

Great recipe. I like my pancakes a little thinner, so I added a bit more milk. The kids LOVED them!

These were very easy and pretty good! However, I don't know if none of the other reviewers that gave this one 5stars mentioned it but after I first mixed the batter it was very heavy and thick, more like pancake dough. I know another reviewer had the same problem. It was easy to fix though by adding SMALL amounts of milk, and mixing after each addition until the right pourable consistency is reached. Good basic recipe! Will make again.

I was looking for a basic pancake recipe and picked this one because of the high ratings it got - I omitted the chocolate chips and made no other changes. They were very light and fluffy, next time I will add some vanilla if I omit the chocolate chips again. thanks for the quick simple recipe!

I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars. While these were not "the best" pancakes I've ever had, they were definitely quite good. Very fluffy and just the right texture to cook perfectly inside without burning the outside. I did add 1 tsp of vanilla and 1 tsp of cinnamon. I think that helped give them a little punch. :)

This recipe was awful!!! I followed the directions exactly and they came our very thick and heavy. They didn't bubble like pancakes are suppose to. I've never made pancakes that looked, tasted or felt worse than these! With such positive reviews from others, I thought this was going to be a winner, but I can honestly say, I'll NEVER do this one again!

I did not use the chocolate chips but served them with the apple pie filling recipe on this site and boy, all I could hear at the table was "mmm"! Came out really nice and fluffy.

Very good recipe! I followed the suggestions of some previous reviewers and added some vanilla. I didn't make the syrup, just used whipped cream for me and maple syrup for him. It was great!

Delicious! Light and puffy. I used whole wheat pastry flour, soy milk and reduced the salt to 1/2 tsp. Added 1 tsp vanilla, a shake of cinnimon and some flax meal. The batter is thick and can be thinned with a little more milk. This recipe made a big batch of pancakes, so I will freeze some for an easy school breakfast. I used maple syrup instead of the syrup recipe. Update: I never got to freeze these; I left them on the counter and eveyone helped themselves to them throughout the morning - they are like healthy chocolate chip cookies - these are not floppy flapjacks. I've also used this recipe in my waffle maker with great results. Another update: my girls were begging me for strawberry shortcake so I made this recipe as waffles and topped with sliced straberries, whipped topping and a drizzle of chocolate syrup - heavenly!

This is coming from my dad (he made them)- he says to make sure the pan is really hot, the first 4 didn't come out so good because of this. He put chocolate chips in some and apples in others. They tasted good, even plain.

YUM! better than from the box. This was my first time making pancakes, except grandma's recipe I used to make with my dad when I was little. Sorry Grandma but I think I just found a recipe to top yours. My boyfriend and I loved these!

These were good, but my husband and I both said that if you told us they were box pancakes, we would believe you. I think I will stick with Aunt Jemima, but this is a good back up if I run out.
