I've made this recipie a couple times just becuase It's easy and I tend to have the ingredients on hand. I have made the following changes with the best results. Add 1 Tsp vanilla. increase milk and sugar to 1 cup. I have also tended to use just a smidge more oil. These changes definately make for sweeter, fluffier muffins.

I thought these muffins were fairly tasty, but the sugar topping was a little weird, to my palate. I might've liked them better without it, like another reviewer mentioned. They didn't rise very much, though, I didn't think, and were a bit flatter and denser than they might have been; not the light-and-fluffy kind of muffins. They were also a little dry. Not too sweet either. Just okay, in my book, but I did make a batch for my neighbors, too, and they told me they liked them (maybe just being polite, though!). I did make them exactly as described, with no alterations. I suppose that a lot of the other reviewers were correct to make some changes to this recipe.

I just felt like muffins tonight, so I found this recipe. SUPER EASY. I used 1 cup of milk and 1/2 tsp vanilla. These items were too important for the author to miss, so I rated this 4 STARS.

I made the following changes based on other reviews: 1 c. sugar, 1 c. milk and 1 c. chips. The muffins were done at 15 minutes using a standard muffin pan. The batch made 18 muffins. The taste was only average for the amount of effort/changes involved. Next time I'll use a box of Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker Choc. Chip Muffins for the same taste and less work. Thanks anyway.

Very quick and easy, i loved the sugary top. I did the recipe with the 1 cup milk and i prefered that so much more. There weren't enough flavors. Next time i'll try it with vanilla. After a day it really hardened up though, so eat them fast!

I chose this recipe because I had all ingredients on hand. They were pretty good, easy and quick. As other reviewers said they were a bit dry, I added more liquid to the batter.

The muffins were a little denser than I was hoping for, but they were still good. I had a bit of extra batter, so I added a little shredded coconut and a touch of coconut extract. Very very delicious, and worth a shot if you like light coconut and chocolate together.

These muffins come out very dry. You would have to load the centers of the muffins with enough chocolate chips to offset the dryness. But the recipe was quick and easy to follow.

I thought these muffins were yummy. They were easy to make and baked quickly. I just wish that I would have added the vanilla, as others have suggested. With that one modification, we will definitely use this recipe again.
