Chocolate Chip Monster Pops

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 15 popsicle sticks

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease a large cookie sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until smooth. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until well blended. Mix in the chocolate chips.
  3. Using a 1/3 cup measuring cup, drop cookies onto the cookie sheet. Be sure cookies are at least 2 inches apart. Insert a popsicle stick into each cookie, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool for 2 to 3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

They kinda squished, and the stick idea didn't work too well.

These cookies taste good. I put different color food coloring in the dough to make them look yucky for halloween.

these spread out loads so its probably best to stick to the 1/3 cup per cookie. these looked lovely in the flower pot, my daughter gave them to her childminder for her christmas present who loved them
