***** These are so melt-in-your-mouth-delicious! ***** I wanted to take some to the neighbors because I didn't think we needed 24 naughty cupcakes around our house, but my husband wouldn't let me! (and he's not even a dessert person!) - - - I used a Devil's Food Cake mix, and topped them with the 'Cream Cheese Frosting II' recipe on this site. I froze the dough overnight, and plopped them onto the cupcakes right before baking. Super easy!

I let the cookie dough sit in freezer for about 3 hours and then baked everything using a German Choc. cake mix. It was great. For a "frosting" all I had was a package of Dream Whip so I used that. Everyone who tasted them said the were great.

I used a devil's food cake mix for the cupcakes, and replaced the oil with applesauce. I used my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe, only I left out the eggs, personally I think it tasted just as good as when I've eaten dough with the eggs, but better because it is more solid like store bought rather than more sticky like homemade. They turned out great. I did have to cook them for about 19 minutes for the cupcakes to cook all the way through, after freezing the cookie dough for about 4 hours they turned out perfect and the cookie dough didn't cook at all. I've had cupcakes like these from a bakery and I had no they were this easy to make!

The novelty of these cupcakes deserves a 5-star rating, but I don't think the taste was a 5-star. I made the recipe as stated but did use a chocolate fudge cake mix because I wanted the color contrast. I froze the cookie balls for about four hours and had no problems at all with the cookie melting away. I did cook them for about 16 minutes but probably should have cooked them a tad longer as some of the tops caved in and were a little wet/doughy on top. Not a big deal because I frosted them with the Rich Chocolate Frosting from this site and you couldn't tell. I'd definitely make these again - the kids thought they were really cool.

We loved these cupcakes. My husband gobbled them right up...and after I sent them to his platoon I had other wives calling me and asking me for the recipe! I used premade dough (i was a little short on time) and I used devil's food cake as per another reviewers suggestion and frosted them with chocolate buttercream. They were delicious!!!

What a fun, whimsical cupcake! I used premade dough to save time. I bought the "mini" cookie dough, so it was already portioned to perfect size for dropping into the cupcake batter. Based on earlier reviews, I was very careful to keep a close eye on the cupcakes while baking. I took them out after 16-17 minutes, and even though they looked slightly underdone, they ended up perfectly done - the cookie dough center was still doughy enough inside. Delish! I topped it with a bit of vanilla buttercream, and a teeny-tiny chocolate chip cookie (had to use the extra dough somehow!)... so cute :)

I haven't rated these yet because I am a moron. I bought the refrigerated dough and used that. (Key word, refrigerated), and no, I forgot to freeze it. Next time I made them, I cut the dough up (out of the refrigerator) and then froze. Way better. They're excellent! And yes, the BEST. Thanks LTH!!

Amazing cupcakes! I used devil's food cake mix instead but they turned out to be the best cupcakes I've ever tasted! This is my new default dessert for any future parties, bake sales, potlucks, etc.

This cupcakes turned out perfectly and tasted like a dream! I used prepackaged cookie dough to save time, and devils food cake mix and vanilla buttercream frosting. Next time I will make my own cookie dough so I can omit the eggs, which to me was the only drawback. Still this recipe gets 5 stars!

Perfect, yummy!! Made the cookie dough from scratch and omitted the egg as advised. You could always add a little milk if you need some moisture in the dough. Used devil's food cake mix. They are so good you don't even need frosting! My son brought a friend home when he heard I had made these, they polished off four apiece. Baked a little less than written (18 minutes) as others advised. I'll make these forever! Chill the leftovers and if your store doesn't have mini morsels, regular size ones are fine.

These were great and super easy to make. I used the Devils food mix from DH and Pilsbury dough, topping it off with Choc. Frosting. We've got a lactose intolerance in our house so it's nice to have such a sweet treat and not have to worry about milk (use Duncan Hines)! The centers were sunken in in about half of them and some of the centers were hollow with dough all around. Not sure how that happened but supermoist and yummy!

This was by far and away the best dessert I have had in a long time. You definitely have to try the devil's food cake mix and that ganache frosting as suggested by another reviewer, they were phenomenal. Also make sure you follow the directions, freeze the dough and only bake the cupcakes 16-18 minutes, they were perfectly moist, it was amazing!

We all enjoyed the moist cupcake. It was a great cupcake, but the cookie dough wasn't really gooey tasting. I didn't have a chocolate cake mix, so I used a vanilla one; this made it hard to tell the difference between the cookie dough and the cupcake. It wasn't quite what I thought it would be like, but we all enjoyed them. Thanks!

I haven't read the other revies so I don't know if this has been mentioned, but you can use pasteurized egg substitute instead of regular eggs in the cookie dough so you aren't in danger of salmonella from the raw eggs.

I made this for the 4th of July reunion my husbands family has every year.I had people begging for the recipe and my sister in law thought I was trying to sabotage her diet. I doubled the recipe and ended up with 50 cupcakes for 56 people and there were none left and there were many many other desserts there. It was great to look around and see the first person bite into it and say "there's cookie dough in there" and then see the rush of people (seriously) who wanted to try them out. Awesome recipe.
