Good. I think my dough balls should be smaller next time though. The centers 'sunk' too, but that was easily fixed with icing! :)

These were OK. I used pre-made Nestle toll house cookie dough and used a small cookie scoop for uniform size. Froze the scooped dough for about a half hour (may do it for an hour next time). I frosted the cupcakes with chocolate buttercream frosting but this made them too sweet - I think they're better unfrosted. DH wasn't impressed and I just felt they were OK.

Yum, yum and yum. Swapped out the cake mix w/ a chocolate flavor instead. Topped w/ a 'chocolate cookie buttercream frosting' (also on this site) and they were to die for. Couldn't have been any better!

Thanks for the recipe, lovestohost! Tasty! I used a white cake mix but otherwise followed the recipe, using Rick's Buttercream Frosting for the top. They were good, but I'm not sure about using a cake mix. I found a delicious way to use up the leftover cupcakes. I chopped them up, heated them through in the microwave, and tossed them, frosting and all (including some of the leftover frosting I had), over vanilla ice cream! It made for a very yummy topping for ice cream!

This recipe was AWESOME! I didn't change a thing followed the directions to a T. I have made them twice now and both batches came out wonderful. I have made it with chocolate & white cake mixes. I have had many testers including myself and still not sure if white or chocolate cake is better must make it each way again to decide. Try this one you won't be sorry!

These were right up our alley!! We loved them, kids and adults a like. I read many post prior to baking which really helped. They literally turned out perfect. Freezing the dough, baking for exactly 18 minutes and leaving in the pan for 10 minutes did the trick. Thanks for the great recipe, lovestohost! We will be making these over and over.

Maybe it's just a matter or taste, but, for us..these were good, but, not great. Great idea..but, we just prefer a regular cupcake or a cream filled cupcake. I could definitely see kids loving them though.

I made these for my son's birthday party, yesterday, and they were devoured! I frosted them with a chocolate butter cream, and I used a yellow cake mix. I made devil's food with white frosting which were also eaten until gone, but the cookie dough ones did go first. Adults and kids alike, loved them! I know they don't "need" another 5 star review, but I am leaving one, anyway. Great idea and great recipe! Thank you.

My husband almost peed his pants over this one. He loved, loved, loved them. I had some issues with timing, the first batch that went in were underdone and never really set up properly, and the second batch were overcooked (which dh preferred, actually.) They were still yummy either way and I will definitely make again.

Wow! What a neat idea to fill the cupcake with cookie dough! I only had to refrigerate the dough for 1 hour and they were still good. Be sure to only fill the muffin cups only 2/3 full. If you put too much batter, you'll end up with extra cookie dough.

I made these for my daughter's birthday party and they disappeared fast! I agree with others, you MUST freeze the cookie dough and they will turn out perfect. I used a boxed cake mix too!

I am not sure what all the fuss is about. I didn't find these to be that great. I think the problem is that I am not a fan of boxed cake mixes and this is the major part of this recipe. I think if you used a recipe from scratch, then it would be much better. Definitely more work, but I think the end result would be tastier. I had to test this recipe out given all of the reviews but on a personal preference, just didn't find this recipe to be that great. I ended up throwing most of them out!

Wow! So good. These are great cold. Made the mistake of immediately putting them in the fridge after the oven so the cake wasn't cooked all the way but it was fine after rebaking it. You've got to have a big sweet tooth for these, so not for everyone.

This recipe needed a "scratch" chocolate cupcake recipe. I made each step of the recipe and the cupcake (yellow cake mix) tastes like it is. The filling was not very special.
