These are amazing LTH!!!! I used chocolate devil's food cake for the cupcake part and regular vanilla frosting. My BF couldn't get enough of these. I am definitely adding this to the holiday goodie plates I make every year. Thank you!!!

These were awesome, I put them in a bit too long and the dough was completely cooked, but they still tasted great. Will make again.

Well, if you are a chocolate chip cookie dough freak like me...THIS RECIPE IS FOR YOU!!! Absolutely awesome!! Follow other suggestions and be sure to FREEZE the cookie dough before making the cupcakes. AND only bake for 16 minutes. I iced with the buttercream frosting II from this site. Took to work and all went crazy!!! This deserves a 10. Such a GREAT spin on cupcakes!!!!!!

Much better than it sounds. I don't particularly like cookie dough but DH does so I made these and now I can't stop eating them! even without icing they're good.

This IS the best cupcake ever! I made it a whole lot easier (as some others did) by using break-and-bake cookie dough. I made it with chocolate fudge cake mix & piped on store-bought white buttercream icing. I sprinkled mini chocolate chips on top too. DeLiCiOuS!! Make sure the cookie dough is frozen...and don't overbake...only about 17 min or so.

I made this for the first time yesterday and it is really good, but next time I will try to make about 30 instead of 24. I found the dough balls were really big and the cake mix had a hard time baking up around them and part of the dough balls got baked. The second dozen the dough balls were a little smaller and I used a little less batter (probably used too much in the first dozen so I had less for each cupcake in the second) but the cupcakes came out perfect and the dough sunk in just like it should and wasn't dry in the middle. So, I think I would make smaller balls and use less batter and get a few more cupcakes out of it. Very important, as the original poster said, NOT to overbake. 20 minutes may be too long unless you have a cooler oven. I used chocolate cake mix which was delicious!

I'm not sure what the hype is about. They are good, but not what I expected. I made them exactly as stated. I thought it would taste like biting into a cookie hidden in a cupcake but chocolate chips added to the cupcake might have been just as good. I would probably make them again. They are good! Just not something amazing and different.

These cupcakes were delicious. I used regular salt in place of the sea salt since I did not have any on hand, but the results were still excellent.

These are THE BEST cupcakes ever!! I baked them twice and I don't know if it was my old oven, but I did have to bake them for 20 minutes otherwise the center of the cupcake caved in (though they tasted abosolutely delicious!). Everytime I've made them I used the fluffy peanut butter frosting on this website and everyone raved about how much they tasted like Reese's Peanut Butter cups! I'll have a hard time making cupcakes any other way now!!

These are DEFINATELY the best EVER! WOW! I followed the recipe except added a little milk instead of the egg to the cookie dough(& I added it after mixing the flour mix w/the wet ingredients so I could get the right cookie dough consistency). Worked perfectly! These are absolutely amazing! I'm on my 2nd one, unfrosted, for my after breakfast treat;)

I have to agree these are the BEST cupcakes ever. I followed the directions, except using a different cookie dough (Felix's) because I also had to make cookies. I am not a huge cupcake fan, but could eat these all day! Thanks for the perfect recipe LTH.

These turned out amazing! I followed all the tips and froze the cookie dough until it was as hard as a rock! I used my favorite cookie recipe from this site called best big fat chewy choc. chip cookies (it is amazing). Then I dipped the tops in ganache, drizzled with melted marshmallow creme, and then added just a bit of choc frosting to top it off. They are super rich and sinful and worth every bite!

OMG...I am a college student and made a batch of these yesterday. I used a devil's food cake mix and regular chocolate chips. They were AMAZING. My roommates all said they were the best cupcakes they'd ever had! I baked them for 16 min. and the cookie dough and chips were nice and gooey! My favorite Allrecipes recipe so far!

I just tried this recipe. It is AMAZING! I used two different premade cookie dough (White chocolate macadamia nut and peanutbutter cup) and I used a butter flavored cake mix to which I added almond extract. All I can say is Oh My God!!! My husband and I are both going nuts! The dough didn't stay as doughy as I had hoped, but its ok! Adding that flavor to the regular cupcake made it soo much better! I will definately make them again! I'm taking them to work with me in about an hour, I can't wait to see the reactions!!

Excellent recipe! I left out the egg in the cookie dough as another reviewer stated - it serves absolutely no purpose as the intention is to leave the cookie dough center raw (and thus, needs no moistening or leavening). Also, I used chocolate cake mix for the brownies as I liked the visual distinction between the light and dark in the cupcake. I topped them with a dark chocolate crumb coat and then used the Marshmallow Fondant recipe to top them. They were incredible!!
