These were not very tasty at all and the mixture was way too thin.

These didn't have the texture of cookies at all. Not what I expected.

After reading the reviews I decided to tweek the recipe a little. I added 1 egg, 2 tsps vanilla, 1/2 cup coconut and 1/2 cup oats and omitted the nuts. Put it in a glass 12x9 pan and cooked it at 325 for 25 minutes.

I liked the idea of chocolate chip bars, so I gave this recipe a try. I was short on eggs anyway, so when I came across this recipe, I tried it using one egg like one of the reviewers had suggested. Well, it looked like a chocolate chip bar, but it was just kind of bland.

Something didn't seem right about this recipe. It wasn't really sweet and it wasn't really bar like. After spreading out the mixture into the jelly roll pan it was the thinnest sheet and it was almost transparent. I double checked the recipe amounts and made it twice and to no avail it was still super thin and not very tasty.

JUST what I have been looking for! I have a child who is allergic to egg and nuts. We have been looking all over for a *special* treet for her and this fits the bill. Imagine never eatting a choclate chip cookie...now she can. THANK YOU We omitted the nuts and this is PERFECT! I bet this will be a staple for her now. I doubled the batch without any problems and they already half gone!

I love this recipe! Very quick, very easy and a lovely tasty result. I cooked mine in a 10x12 inch Swiss roll tin which is about 1/2 inch deep. The finished cookie has come out crisp on the outside and just a little soft in the centre. I cooked mine for a little longer than stated too,you really have to keep your eye on this to make sure you take it out at the right stage.

I picked this recipe b/c I wanted a quick cookie fix, and it was very easy to make with my toddler. However, the texture was way too dry and crumbly. I think the recipe needs an egg or maybe some oil or something.

This recipe was definitely easy but the consistency of the bars was weird. They were very rich but my children did not like the consistency. Would not make again.

Fast, easy, and yummy! This is, by far, the best chocolate chip bar cookie recipe I've found. It's not cake-like, more of a cookie. I might never make the drop cookies again! Thanks for sharing this one!

I found that these bars were just an easy way out of making your standard chocolate chip cookie. They were hard and baked unevenly. And I found that they did not have much flavor.

Well, if you need a quick chocolate fix, I might recommend this recipe. However, they didn't cook evenly and were very greasy. The ones in the middle even more so. Tried cooking them an extra 10 minutes to see if they would dry out or firm up a little, but didn't. The outer edges of the cookie were okay.

These worked out great for me! I am making cookies for my 3 little valentines, and decided to make these into heart shaped cut out cookies. I absolutely loved the fact that there is no egg in these, as my #3 valentine is allergic, (I left out the pecans, as he is allergic to those as well) actually he is enjoying one as I type. Thanks Gary, for sharing. Happy Valentines Day ;)

SO quick to make, not many ingredients, and turned out the best bar cookie I've made. I used a 13by9 by 2 glass pan, and cooked it at 325. They come out soft, creamy, and chocolatey! What more can you ask for!!

LOVED these cookie Bars! I did add 1 egg. While I was mixing the sugar and butter it was just too thick and was not whipping up like I thought it should. 1 egg did the trick! They came out PERFECT! I also pressed them in a 10x13 glass baking dish since I did not have a jelly roll pan.
