The bars tasted ok, but they were too greasy. I wouldn't make again. There are better cookie bar recipes out there.

They were ok but way too greasy. I greased the pan as it said to do in the instructions but I honestly think I shouldn't have. The bars were falling apart because of the amount of butter so I refrigerated them to solidify them up a bit.

These cookie bars are so soft and delicious! They don't even dry out as quickly as most chocolate chip cookies. I made half the recipe and put it in a 9x13 pan. Baked for 20-25min. They were nice thick bars. This will definitely be the only chocolate chip cookie bar recipe I use.

I halved the recipe and baked in a 9x13" pan for 18min. They were a bit gooey still in the middle and I would probably make for a couple minutes longer next time. But they were very easy to make and were a hit at work!

Very Good! I halved the recipe and put mine in a 8x8 pan to make thick bars - they took about 25 minutes to cook but still were good.

wow...you should def cut the recipe back if you are using the two smaller pans...mine almost overflowed while baking...has a cake-like texture but can still eat with your hands....kids loved them!! they tasted just like a chocolate chip cookie but better in my opinion! and much simplier to make than cookies seeing as how you didn't have to wait by the oven so much to put them in and take them out! will make again!

These were awesome! Made them just like the recipe. The only change I made was split the recipe in half. I also used put a sandwich bag on my hand, sprayed it with cooking spray and spread the batter that way... Yum!!

These are just like a recipe I grew up on. I like to do half PB and half choc chips. Also, if you're having trouble spreading the dough, spray both sides of the spatula with cooking spray. Then the dough doesn't stick to it, and you can spread easier

These were yummy! Make sure you read the whole recipe, though. This batch makes three jelly-roll pans full of bars! Great if you have a bake sale or something, or if you want to have a bunch of bars in the freezer for a rainy day.

Let cool in the VERY WELL GREASED pan for at least 10-15 minutes before trying to remove, otherwise they fall apart. The bars are delish! I also like to use the chocolate chunks instead of chips.

Great recipe! After reading the reviews I chose to use two 9x13 pans since I was looking for thicker bars. My cooking time was around 23 minutes. That’s all I changed, the recipe itself I followed exactly. The bars were nice and soft, a little bit chewy. Very yummy! What I especially loved about these was the convenience of sticking the pans in the oven and being done. It is much faster than trying to make cookies. If you need to make cookies but are pressed for time, this is the recipe to use! Also, let me say again that these were delicious. My husband and kids loved these! Definitely a keeper for my recipe box!

I did half the recipe and used a 9x13 pan like others had recommended. I needed to cook it for 19-20 minutes. I also swapped Heath pieces for the choc chips. I have to say they were not my personal favorite, but my family went nuts for them. My little nieces ate 6 bars each.

this bars were pronounced "absolute heaven" by my favourite 9 year old. A winner. I also scaled back to a 9x13 pan to get thicker bars and had to bake a little longer to get them done in the middle. fab.

you might want to put these in a smaller pan (maybe 9 x 13) or as other reviewers said, make 2 batches instead of three with the recipe as written. As written, the bars were too thin. I couldn't even make the dough spread to reach the pan's edges, so the edges got a bit too brown before time was up. They were yummy- they taste like a standard chocolate chip cookie. yum! Also- I cut down on the butter by a few tablespoons.
