I substituted chocolate-covered, candy-coated sunflower seeds for the mini chocolate chips - and wish I hadn't. The cookie suffered for it, and would have been infinitely better with the chocolate chips as directed. Hubs was not a huge fan of these, as they are just mildly sweet, so those who are serious about their sweet treats will agree. I, on the other hand, appreciated that they are a rich and buttery cookie without giving you a toothache. They do need something, however, and that would be the mini chocolate chips.

Very chocolatey with all the mini chocolate chips. They don't spread much at all--I guess bc the butter is already melted. I used my small cookie scoop and got a ton of cute little choc chip cookies. They taste good as well, and the chocolate lovers on my cookie tin list should love them. Thanks for the recipe!

loved these! And you really could top them with anything! I had coconut pecan icing... I heated it up with some chocolate chunks that melted nicely with it and just plopped it on! Delicious!

This cookie is quite different from the chocolate chip cookies that I am used too: it is more crunchy, than soft; it is very thick; and it is not as sweet as usual ones. Yet, Despite all its quirkiness, this cookie is GOOD! It is very easy to make, and takes just a few minutes to cook. Be prepared - The first taste doesn't quite do it justice. Eat a few more, and you will see the true flavor. I guess you can sum up my review as : Good, Just Different! I will definitely make again! Thanks so much for the recipe!

I just wanted to let you know Janis that these cookies are as sweet as you are. I changed up the recipe in my second batch and used French Vanilla extract and carmel extract. It gave it a different taste almost like your favorite vanilla pudding but in a cookie. Your cookies are the best thing about summer camp to look forward to.

These were okay. They are a bit bland and pretty dry.

Was pretty excited to make these since there is not egg in it, but you can tell. I think I will pass on making these again.

These are my new favorite cookie. Extremely easy, and absolutely, sinfully delicious! If you are looking for a "standard" chocolate chip cookie, you may be disappointed. These are much more buttery, have a slight crunch, and are to die for! Made one batch that only lasted about 2 days in my house!

These cookies are really good, and so easy to make. I like to bake mine about 9 minutes which makes them less crispy. I also like to add pecans sometimes. I find that they taste much better the next day. When they first come out of the oven they're a bit salty which I would say is because of the butter. After they have cooled though they become addictive. This recipe is similar to the snowball cookie recipe I made as a kid, and loved. Except it didn't call for chocolate chips it called for ground walnuts. Very good!
