Awesome bread!!! I made it in a larger pan, so I just turned down the heat and let it cook longer, it came out so moist and delicious! We had to eat it right up!

Delicious and moist. A huge hit when I make it. I do not change anything either, since the recipe is perfect as it is.

This was a great recipe. I replaced the shortneing for butter, did not put any mayonnaise as I didn't have any and replaced the walnuts for crushed almonds and it still turned out great! I recommend cutting the recipe in half because it does make alot. Great recipe:)

This was a good bread. Nothing amazing, but very tasty for how easy it was to make. I didn't have shortening so I used butter. The bread fell at the end of baking and I think it's b/c of the butter.

Everyone loves this recipe. People beg me to make it...often. Only changes I made were to use butter in place of the shortening and I add 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice. I also use a cinnamon and sugar mix around the pan after I spray it with Pam. This is truly the BEST!

The best i"ve ever made! Very light and fluffy, made it exactly as says with the exception of a dash of cinnamon. Next time i will substitute with butter and use whole wheat flour. I'm sure it will be great!

Wonderful recipe! I'm so glad I tried this on as there are numerous banana bread recipes on here. I will definitely make this one again. I used butter instead of shortening and also substituted one cup of whole wheat flour for one of the cups of flour. Followed the rest of the directions and it turned out great! Wasn't quite sure of the mayonnaise, but the bread was wonderful. My whole family loved it - including four kids aged 3 to 9.

Very easy and delicious! I didn't have choc chips so I substituted raisins. I also don't use shortning and used smart balance baking butter instead and organic whole wheat flour. I was surprised at how yummy it was even with my healthier changes.

I used butter because shortening is not very easy to find here. Omitted the walnuts as well. This was the best banana bread I've ever had (sorry, mom!) I will be making this again very soon!

Delicious!!! I used butter, cut out the nuts and added extra chocolate chips. I cooked it in a 9x12 pyrex pan and it was wonderful. A friend suggested using mini chocolate chips so that they stayed suspended better... interesting thought.

This is delicious! We were out of semisweet chips, so I used 1/4 c. peanut butter chips and 1/4 c. milk chocolate chips. They came out AMAZING! We had better luck with muffins than bread - the bread got pretty dark on the outside before it was done on the inside.

Hands down one of the best recipes for banana bread. I made 6 mini loaves which took 50 mins to cook. Husband loved them more than my other recipe for banana bread. I used 1 cup unsaled butter in place of shortening and used a whole bag of semi sweet chocolate chips. I was a little worried about the mayo but didn't taste it at all. Highly recommend...you won't be disappointed!

Yum! I made two slightly smaller loaves so I had enough left over for a few muffins - they were good too and only took about 20 minutes to cook. I did use the shortening (butter flavored) and it turned out fine!
