My mom made this pie for special occasions, and it was always a hit. I recommend you grease the pie plate well. Otherwise, the meringue crust may stick and break when you cut it. Very rich, and showy.

This pie is really great and easy to make. I made it for a contest at work and won first prize! I had never done a meringue crust before, but it was easy and very different -- a great compliment to the very rich and chocolately filling! I will definitely make this one again!
