Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks cold butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 cups almonds, toasted and chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon CRISCO® All-Vegetable Shortening

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine flour and sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Press on bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  2. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk; remove from heat. Cool slightly. Beat in egg. Stir in almonds and extract. Spread over prepared crust.
  3. Bake 25 minutes or until set. Cool.
  4. Melt remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips with shortening. Drizzle over bars. Chill 10 minutes or until set. Cut into bars. Store leftovers covered at room temperature.
