Five stars based on the cake alone--it was so good we ate it up before I had time to make the frosting. The cake is beautiful and delicious. I wasn't quite sure about the pan it calls for--I used a bundt pan. I also was a little worried about the fact that it seemed like there wasn't enough batter to cover the pan into 4 layers but it works perfectly! Absolutely delicious and perfect for a fall gathering since the butterscotch turns a pretty shade of orange.
