This was just okay for me. The flavor was somewhat bland. Maybe it is just me, but I don't even bother tryng a lot of cornbread recipes with or over a certain amount of baking soda because I know I'll be able to taste it. I was hoping this one would be different, but I could taste it here too. I might try again and decrease the baking powder. I did however LOVE the texture.

Very good and I didn't think it was bland at all but it really wasn't very moist, not the way I think corn bread should be.

I LOVE this recipe. I have been making it for years. It is very moist and yummy. Make sure you do not over-bake. I stick a toothpick in and check for moist crumbs. If the toothpick comes out totally clean, I know I have overcooked it a bit.

Great! The family ate it up faster than I would have liked! I did reduce the butter to approx 1/8, sugar to 2 Tablespoons and the cheese to 1/2. It was truly excellent. The consistency was not too dry and not too greasy. I was doubtful that this would make a nice corn bread in such a large baking pan...but I was wrong! This is definitely a keeper!!!

Just ok. Sorry. Thought it would be amazing by the reviews, but was sort of bland. Followed the recipe carefully. Next time would add jalapenos or more cheese or more something.

"Yum!" says my two-year-old daughter, as she proceeds to eat the whole bar. My six-year-old son asked for seconds. I had seconds myself. It was easy to prepare and a great way to use the chives that are multiplying in my garden. No adjusting the recipe required.

I love this bread! It's so fast and easy to make and so yummy. I've made it three times in the last two weeks and I never get more than a small piece because my mom and sister devour it as soon as it comes out of the oven!

This recipe is great as is! Excellent with a load of butter. I made it with spicy chili (Chili 1 recipe comes highly recommended) and it paired perfectly.
