Chive Cheese Biscuits
SUBMITTED BY:
Joan Baskin
"From Black Creek, British Columbia, Joan Baskin writes, 'These are the lightest biscuits I've ever baked. My husband loves them with a meal of macaroni and cheese and coleslaw.' Flecks of fresh chives and golden bits of cheddar cheese make the biscuits a savory standout."

These were really easy to make and turned out fine--just a bit bland though. I think I will brush them with garlic butter before serving to add a little more flavor. I also added 1/4 cup of grated parmesan which helped add a little more cheese flavor. The shortening keeps them nice and light.

this was easy enough to make, but it just really lacked in overall flavor. it definately needs something to punch it up. the one thing going in its favor is that these biscuits are nice and light. i don't think i would make these again.
