My Mom made this when I was a kid on the stove. Loved it then and Love it now. I'm glad, I came across this easy way to make it in the microwave. Tastes just like hers. Thanks for the quick way to make it.

Turned out perfect. I doubled the recipe but kept the meat portion the same. Yum!

Very easy to make. Next time I would add salt just for our taste.

I really enjoyed this! Quick, easy and tasted like my mother used to make. In order to be like Mom's, I added two chopped up boiled eggs at the same time as the beef. This really jazzed it up!

For a little more flavor saute onions and 1 bay leaf for 5-10 minutes before adding flour. For additional flavor garnish with Worcestershire sauce!

Just like my mama use to make. She always added cut up hard boiled eggs and frozen peas. Makes a very hearty meal.

Just like Mom use to make! And it reheats well. Can be done using ground beef or sausage too. We always have ground beef in the freezer, so this is a great back up meal (especially if you're low on cash and/or time). It's certainly not calorie conscious, but it's certainly better than take out!

I found this to be super simple and tasty. I jazzed mine up with a sprinkle of dried onion flakes while stirring the sauce. I've also substituted crumbled cooked sausage in place of the dried beef with great results. Also - served over baked pototo vs. toast/biscuits.
