I made this dish with a few changes: I used canned chicken, added frozen California blend veggies, used 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce and 1 tablespoon of hoisin garlic sauce, and I fried it about 12 minutes. It was so good! My EXTREMELY picky fiance loved it, and my friend who just got back from traveling in Asia devoured it. Well done.

It was a good recipe but somehow the flavour didn't come out in the rice as much as I would have liked.

a great basic chicken fried rice recipe. it can be tweaked to add your own favorites. I added sweet peas and omitted the onions. This is a good base recipe! Again, as others have mentioned, make sure your rice is cold.

Loved this recipe and loved the fact it was so simple. Did not use egg b/c I don't like it but I make fried rice a lot, the difference this time is that I actually heated my BROWN RICE normally and then I put it in the freezer and let it get cold. I also used much more soy sauce & this recipe was great, even though very similar to the recipe that I currently use. Got compliments from a guest on this meal!

Just in case this happens to you! Right when I started cooking I realized I didn't have enough soy sauce. I thought I was in for a disaster! However, I simply added just a TAD of sesame oil (it's very strong) and some olive oil. I have to admit that I also added another tablespoon of butter right at the end. It's still wayyyy less butter than they use at our Japanese steakhouse. Anyways, the short of it is that it was FABULOUS!!! Super tasty and I didn't even do it right! The next time I make it I'll be sure I have enough soy sauce and also think I will add some frozen mixed vegetables. Either way it was a very satisfying and my asian food loving husband approved!

Delicious! This was my first attempt at fried rice, so I was happy with how easy it was and how tasty the result was. I added red and green pepper (diced) and baby carrots shortly after putting the onion on.
