Made this for New Years Eve Dinner and it was very good. I added peas and mushrooms. Next time I won't put chicken in it. It was a very simple recipe...I made the rice in my rice cooker and then put it in the refrigerator to cool down and it came together perfectly.

This in the best Fried Rice recipe. My family loves it. The only thing I add is frozen peas and carrots. When I am short on time I spread my rice out on a cookie sheet and put it in the freezer to help it cool faster. By the time I have everything else ready the rice is cool enough to stir fry.

This was the easiest and best homemade fried rice ever. I added a little garlic paste as suggested by another review and 2 baby carrots sliced thin and chopped. I only made 1 serving of it because i didnt want to waste it if it didnt come out good needless to say I will be making it again tonight for my husband when he comes home. Thanks Again!!

I gave this recipe 5 stars, but I did alter it a bit. I left out the chicken and the onion. I made it as a side to go with "Perfect Sesame Chicken", also on this site. I have made this recipe several times. My Husband Loves it! The key is to cool off the rice first (or it will be sticky) and have your skillet hot and ready before adding. I highly recommend it as well as the Sesame Chicken recipe. Makes a great, Restaurant style meal. My Husband and kids (age 5 & 7) Loved the Sesame chicken!

i had no idea this is how you did the egg in chinise rice! i have attempted it before adding the raw egg at the end and it was a grose mush hahaah. thank you so much for the recipe. i did add 1 tablespoon for the rice but i think i used a little more rice than called for and omitted the chicken since i made baked chicken teriyaki from this site! it was a great meal, better than many restaurants. im going to start culinary school in march so all this info is helping me alot!!

Super yummy! I forgot I didn't have eggs when I set out to make this, so I left those out. I added half a bag of frozen peas and carrots at the end.

My husband is the fussiest eater on the planet. He ate this whole recipe up over 2 nights. I did add some leftover corn into the rice and then I put some frozen Chinese stir fry veggies in a casserole dish (the kind you get at a BJ's or Sam's Club)it had brocolli, baby corn, water chestnuts, carrots, and snow peas. I arranged the veggies on the outside and dumped the fried rice in the middle. It made a nice presentation, but barely noticeable, since hubby inhaled it! I've already made it twice. It's much healthier than restaurant fried rice, since they use a lot more oil. I used olive oil. Thanks!

I have made this recipe several times now because its so quick, easy, and delicious! Nowadays I add frozen stir-fry veggies to add color and nutrition, but it is great without too! An all-around excellent meal!

Tasty, economical, and made a great lunch for hubby and I. I addded in a handful of frozen green peas and some chives and parsley for color at the end. I sliced a partially frozen chicken breast up and just stir fried it in with the onion before adding the rice. Thanks, this is a good base and can be adapted easily.
