This is my go-to recipe for chili. I use it in place of the packaged stuff in a family chili recipe, and it is absolutely wonderful, such great flavor. I do make some adjustments based on my family's taste - I swap 2 tsp of the chili powder with ground ancho chili powder and only use 1/2-1 tsp of crushed red pepper to tame it for the little guys, but then have the red pepper on the table for the heat-lovers. Also, I usually make that chili in a crockpot (original recipe was for stove top), so I add the flour in about the last 30 min of the cook time.
