Two Minute Chili Pie

This is a perfect kid-pleaser pie that 's simple enough for a beginner 's cooking lesson. Take two cans of your favorite chili, a can of green beans and a cup of shredded Jack cheese, and mix them together. Then pour the mixture into a deep-dish pastry crust and bake.

My cousin Donna made up this recipe several years ago and it's one my children love. It's like eating a chili dog, but with a fork.

Beef franks, chili and beans, tortillas and Cheddar cheese form the layers of this deceptively simple and unnusual casserole.

Here's a good way to use leftover roast beef. Canned beef gravy and Beau Monde seasoning add to its flavor, and the topping is made with buttermilk baking mix.

Pull what you need from the freezer or pantry from this one. Frozen pie crust, a can of cream of potato soup, and a mega can of mixed veggies. An egg, some milk and a dash of thyme, and you have the fixings for a wonderful pie that your family will think

The perfect way to use up all the leftovers from Holiday Feasts. You can substitute any meat for the turkey. I have used beef as well, and it makes a wonderfully tasty dish that doesn't remind you that this is the 4th time you have eaten Christmas dinner. Turkey stock can be used in place of turkey gravy.

Chop the veggies, mix with mayonnaise, crumbled bacon, and cheese, and then toss the mixture into a deep dish pie shell and bake. Slice hearty pie into big hunks and serve it with garlic mashed potatoes.

Use a double crust to make either individual or family sized pies filled with turkey and vegetables with canned cream of chicken soup.
